That is true, but yeah, I don't think that counts as trans* territory. I haven't gotten up to that part in Runaways but I did spoiler a bit for myself; I think Xavin originally showed himself as a guy, but when he became interested in Karolina and learned she was a lesbian he was like, "I will be whatever makes you pop flyin' as long as I can be with you." Something along those lines. It's not as much a gender identity issue as it is "doing what you can to be with the one you love."

Yeah, she was pretty much as buxom before the New 52 as she is now. The reason so many people noticed during the New 52 is because it was a huge reboot event.

Guess I'll put another tally on the "Reasons I Don't Like Comics" list then because I loved the character in Teen Titans.

Not all of them. Miles Morales in Ultimate Spider-Man is scrawny as hell, and so is Peter Parker in regular Amazing Spider-Man, Wolverine is hairy and overall ugly.
Gwen Stacy, Uncle Ben, Howard Stark, Jean Grey, and Professor Xavier (I think) are all dead. The fact that Doc Ock is dying is part of the current spidey story arc, and Deadpool has lost his healing factor and can get killed at any time. Peter Parker in the Ultimate Universe (Where Miles Morales is now Spidey) is dead and is shown to be Dining in Valhalla with Wolverine and cyclops

People were disappointed in New 52's Starfire because DC had an opportunity to completely overhaul their old characters, yet they decided to turn Starfire into even more of a sex figure, and completely devoid her of personality.

Starfire's always been a sexy, sensual, uninhibited character - and that's not a bad thing. Where you have strong women you'll have sexy women, and smart women, and idiots and "brutes" and on and on. Sometimes a character is driven by sensuality, and that was Starfire. She did have a personality underneath that sex bomb persona, but her sexuality was prominent.

So, when you have DC rebooting their entire universe, giving a lot of characters new personalities on top of new backgrounds, you can imagine how disappointed people were to see a robotic, emotionless Starfire having sex with a teammate at random in the very first issue - especially given the current rumblings among readers wanting stronger female role models. Even the original Starfire had a pop flyin'-go-lucky, cheerful demeanor - SOMETHING to give her life. The new Koriand'r? Sex doll.

I had put down the first issue of Red Hood and the Outlaws after reading it and had no desire to read more. It was a gigantic turn-off. All the blogs and articles I read echoing my feelings only strengthened my resolve to never pick it up again, so for all I know the writer could have tried "fixing" Star to be more human. Even if he did, he left a very bad first impression on myself and many other readers.

Three of those dead people aren't really heroes, Burnt. And I don't really like Spiderman or X-Men all that much, so Deadpool is the only thing I'm finding interesting in that list.
