I lust love how the car jokes translate so well. HAHA you bought the SOHC instead of the DOHC. I also like how I recongnize the car before they say what it is.Le Great Handsome Oppressor wrote:Initial D is amazing. I've been on a big anime kick lately. I don't really know why.
I love OHSHC. I just started getting into buying the manga - I'm still waiting for volume 1 to arrive (sold out) but volume 2 already has.
The anime is pretty awesome but I want to see what finally happens with all the romantic options with the on-going manga.
I also love High School Rumble. It's not really the same kind of plot as OHSHC but it's another romantic comedy set in HS and I think it's bloody hilarious.
Also, I'm waiting for a download of all the english episodes of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann to finish. (Or I guess the english version is just called Gurren Lagann?) I wanted to watch this series forever ago but this was when the episodes were always getting pulled off youtube.
Now I can just tell youtube to go fuck itself and watch them all anyways in better quality.
Should I watch all of the series first and then the movies or should I watch the movies after I've watched all the episodes they cover? (As in, watch the first movie after I've watched the first fifteen episodes.)

Uh, they're real. I haven't seen the full movies on youtube, but there are various clips from them.
But they're basically just recaps of the anime. They have new animation but it's the exact same story. Actually, I heard some things are even cut out to keep it under 2 hours long. But it's still worth the watch from what I understand, if you like the series anyways.
They don't have any english versions though so that might be why you haven't seen anything about it? It's only available in japanese (and subbed, I presume).
