Movies
Re: Movies
Well, I just re-finished Book One a few minutes ago, and it is on Netflix instant watch, I want to see how badly they fucked it up.
I AM MORBIDLY CURIOUS, ALRIGHT!

Re: Movies
Going to see Fright Night tomorrow. I have no expectations good or bad going into this movie whatsoever.

But seriously, what the fuck did I just watch?
NOTHING FUCKING HAPPENED IN THAT MOVIE! Even during the climax, Uhng made a huge wave......and did nothing with it. While Soakuh just stood around the entire movie with huge eyes, and that Katara chick just looked stoned the entire movie.
Ear-oh had an Italian(?) accent...
Oh gods, there really isn't any reason to go on, is there?

Re: Movies
The misspellings are for the retarded name pronunciations.
Movies that aren't directed by M. Night Fuckyouwitharustypieceofconstructionequipment are a good reason to live.

Re: Movies
The episode Ember Island Players sums up the movie pretty good.
"That... wasn't a good play"
"The effects were decent."

Re: Movies
CAN NEVER UNSEE, CHEKT.
Re: Movies
So I went and saw Apollo 18.
The vintage 70's camera effects are spot on, kudos to the team responsible for this. The mixture of actual Apollo footage into the movie is done well, and is fun to see.
The actors, set, and costumes all look great, and lower/zero gravity are handled well enough.
The film uses jump scares as it's main method of shocking you. Which is well enough, since jump scares always get me, FOR I AM WEAK.
It's not a great movie, but it's good, and being a fan of the Apollo missions I enjoyed the premise.
MY MAIN PROBLEM: If you view this movie from a strictly fictional, what-if point of view, you can enjoy it. This however is not what the film tries to do.
At the end, it slips in its conspiracy messages. Suggesting that the three dead astronauts of the supposed Apollo 18 missions died not by accident on Earth, but in a covert mission to the moon, then provides the web address "www.lunartruth.com"
Yep, it really did.
