How can I vest any interest in a disease-based movie that isn't about zombies?
please stop that right now

28 Days Later was technically a disease movie that wasn't about zombies.
The A in this case stands for Armageddon. As in, Armageddon a boner because this plane has a fucking HOWITZER sticking out of it.

Against my better judgment, I want to see Apollo 18.

If it involves a horde of human-like things chasing down other human-like things, it's a zombie movie.

Were the Orcs in Lord of the Rings zombies?

The fight scenes were more like a war movie, since you got a large horde of humans on the other side fighting as well. Zombie movies have very small numbers on the defending side usually.

Also, you can have multiple definitions of zombie movies of course, but how I described it's a large sub-genre with consistent themes that usually make for an enjoyable movie (for me). You could call them zombie-like movies if you prefer.

I kind of want to see it too, just to figure out wtf that monster thing is or whatever.

Which is me falling victim to the entire marketing strategy, but whatever
please stop that right now

Am I the only person where the less a trailer shows/tells the audience, the less I want to see it?
How the fuck do I know if I want to see it if I don't know what the fuck it is about?

Honestly I kinda like a lil' ambiguity in my movies, but people cheering pisses me off. Johnny Depp can't hear you!

I don't mind ambiguity, but stuff like the first Super 8 teaser do nothing to me.

So has anyone else made the mistake of going to see Green Lantern? I thought it was a fun movie but not fun enough to warrant the outrageous prices they charge for the theater here.
