Being John Malkovich

Anything in the Hannibal series. Silence of the Lambs is a classic.

Also, if you want a movie by the same directors of Being John Malkovich that DOESN'T suck, watch Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Not nearly as "psychological" as Being John Malkovich, but the psychological standpoint is definitely there.

But as far as psychological films go, Memento is EASILY my favorite. Watch it even despite the assignment. Amazing movie.

EDIT: Also, The Machinist isn't bad, but it's kind of slow.

Oh, try out "The Bothersome Man" (Den brysomme mannen). Just remember to get subtitles.

Ha, so did I.
Loved all the sci-fi references / fan service in that film.

Recommendation for Alex? Fearless.

The whole movie is one big psychological reaction to a huge disaster (plane crash). Plus, Jeff Bridges rocks.

Crash is another good one like that

Goes into the mindset behind race relations

I could not physically sit through that movie. Or Precious.
