Movies
Re: Movies
Maybe, but I haven't seen that movie so I don't know if it falls under the criteria he gave the class. The movie I watch has to fall under the units we're studying (Biological bases of behavior, sensation and perception, life-span developmental psychology, motivation and emotion, states of consciousness, assessment and individual differences, health [conflict, coping, stress], cognitive.)
Re: Movies
Pleasantville
It's a good movie about exploring emotions that we take for granted. Could work for an essay????

Do one of those Drama movies like The FighterAlex wrote:Maybe, but I haven't seen that movie so I don't know if it falls under the criteria he gave the class. Alternatively; THe Dark Knight. There's a psyche study in there somewhere and everybody loves Batman

Re: Movies
Or, Shutter Island, a film actual about psychology. Pretty good film too.

Oh, I forgot to mention: it's totally unrealistic.Syobon wrote:Watched Tucker & Dale vs Evil. Loved the idea, the execution was good, but somewhat unfulfilling. All in all fun to watch, good film.
They forgot the beer. That just doesn't happen. Ever. Unless you're braindead. You can't not notice that your car isn't filled to the brim. You can't not notice that you don't have a beer in your hand while riding in the car. Trust me on this one.

Jacob's Ladder or EraserheadAlex wrote:Anyone care to suggest a good movie to watch from a psychological viewpoint? I'm asking because for AP Psychology we have an optional extra credit assignment where we watch a movie and write a two page reaction essay, but it's not due until October so I have time to watch a few.

Re: Movies
The Fountain
That movie should have more than enough psychological crap jammed up inside it for you to write a paper, and it's a good watch as well.

Or, y'know, whatever.
