Re: Movies
Aside from the new one, I've only actually seen (most of) the original, so I dunno lol
Apparently they borrowed a little from Conquest

Re: Movies
To be fair, the originals haven't aged well at all, unless you're the kind of person who can still watch early dr who episodes without laughing
Re: Movies
Idea: post your favourite scenes from movies. Try to pick scenes that are still interesting to watch if you haven't seen the movie. Bonus points for more obscure movies that noone has seen yet. This could be it's own thread of people want, but I think it could work here.
I'll go first, prepare to be underwhelmed.

Re: Movies
I didn't mind the new Capt. America too much - apart from all the historical inaccuracies (I guess they explain it by saying there in a seperate timeline, plus it's a super hero movie) I quite liked it, I think the ending could've been much better though, it was kind of shit. I mean, I think he could've seen his British love (if she was still alive, if not he could've visited her grave or something or met her daughter/son (assuming she had one) but I guess they didn't want to end the film on a sad note, which was a shame.

Re: Movies
Heh, rewatched BttF recently actually. Surprised to see it held up so well.

Re: Movies
Funny how a movie about time travel ages so well. Although the second one just makes me laugh now that we're supposed to be four years away from flying cars and holographic Jaws 19 advertisements.

Re: Movies
I actually thought the ending for Captain America was quite sad. He's told he's been out of it for 70 years and all he says is "I had a date.". THE END. I thought it was well done.Tales wrote:didn't want a sad ending.

Re: Movies
The Prestige is my favorite movie, and I'm looking for the scene where Borden throws out the dead bird and says "Guess you were the lucky one tonight" to the one who lived because it is probably the best example of both foreshadowing and a scene that sums up the entire movie in a few short seconds.
Or, y'know, whatever.
