Uh yes, that is exactly what people are saying, and it gets grating after a while. I like Steven Universe, but it gets a bit schmaltzy at times, the Uncle Grandpa episode was a nice break from the constant OMG FEELINGS, not to mention I like how they took a few light shots at the overflow of shipping in the fandom.

I suppose I have been "burned" and it is now customary to pull out the pokemon, aloe, water, ice, and (apparently) regular show related images. Whatever shall I do in this onslaught of memes?

No but really y'all can like the episode all you want. I don't particularly give a shit, episode wasn't funny to me and that's that.
Sorry my sense of humor doesn't line up with yours I guess????

You still haven't answered my question as to how it shouldn't be considered a crossover if it features one show's character in the other show's world

Aquabat, drop it.

You're not helping anyone with this argument. Not you, not Turbo, and definitely not any of us.

Turbo didn't like Say Uncle. You did. So did I. But this argument is A: fucking stupid and B: going nowhere.

In about 5 hours we're going to have something much more worthwhile to talk about, so let's just wait for that, and stop arguing about the merits of a goddamn joke episode.

I'm not arguing, I'm asking a question

How can it not be considered a crossover if it features one show's character in the other show's world?

Because that is exactly what a crossover is

He said he felt like the episode was just Uncle Grandpa jokes with the Steven Universe crew, instead of feeling like it had the ambiance of the two shows at once. He didn't say it wasn't a crossover, he said it felt like a badly-made crossover because it had more UG than SU in his eyes. It's really not hard to understand.

If I catch you guys answering posts with reaction images again you're not going to have a fun time.

Nightmare Hospital Reaction: a summary.

Holy shit, did they just show a goddamn affair in every way but actually showing it?

Holy shit forced fusions

This is not okay

so, would that one under the tarp be armarmarmarmarmarmarm (basing off of the other forced fusion asset names)?

Why the hell does this hospital have so many of these things!? you'd think at some point someone would be like "Huh, all these
multicolored, heavily mutilated people with gems in their bodies. seems legit."

That fight scene sure was short. But fair enough, I guess.

Man, the episode's name sure was fitting. this was goddamn creepy up until the mother/daughter feels happened.

I liked it.

Shouldn't most of that be in a spoiler tag?

I'm glad we get to see Connie kicking forced fusion booty.

Also those feels at the end.

Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Steven in a dress. No one laughed, everyone cheered. Even Lars was just uninterested at most. Oh my god.
Oh my god. I'm so pop flyin'. I always wanted this in Steven Universe.

Okay.

I'm fine with trans people, or even non-trans people that just feel like crossdressing, but...the town not find that situation funny is actually kind of out of character, especially for Lars.

Fact of the matter is, even if the other characters didn't laugh at it, Steven in the dress was a joke. A hilarious joke, but a joke nonetheless. And I assure you, if it wasn't the closing joke of the episode, people would be laughing. Lars would never let Steven live it down. Them not laughing is, at the most altruistic, not making your own characters laugh at your own jokes.

People acting like somehow RS and/or the crewniverse is either accepting or making fun of trans people are both completely wrong. Steven isn't trans or a crossdresser, or at least if he is, this isn't some unspoken conformation of it. It's just a young boy in a dress because that's funny.

That episode was good but where my gems at?

Also hi yes trans person here. Steven in a dress was a joke in good taste and not at all offensive. He looked fab. Please don't make a debate about this.
