I'm reading order of the stick.
I'm around the 250th comic where Haley loses her voice after the treasure gets blown up and starts talking gibberish.
I'M TRANSLATING IT. IT'S A CHIFFRE. WHY AM I DOING THIS.

Took me a second to realize you meant "cipher".

Whoops, French.
And he used a different one each comic. That's quite a lot of work for a joke that maybe 10% of readers are interested in enough to try and translate.

I totally forgot we had this thread.
I was reading Spinarette the other day and ended up stopped when it said I had to buy chapter 5.
It really put me off but I really did enjoy it, should I try to get the digital copy?

Sake does not contain enough alcohol to be set on fire. This webcomic based off of a tabletop Pen and Paper game is not chemically accurate!

Typically doesn't. Have you ever known a culture to drink something and then go, "Wow. This is enough alcohol. Let's not make stronger stuff."

Well it's wine. The procedure used to produce wine actually can't go much above 20% alcohol. You need at least 40% to burn it. For that you're best off with something distilled, like Rum or Vodka.

Rice wine isn't wine. It's starch based and thus more like beer. And you can distill almost anything or fortify it. Maybe somebody used a +50 spell of drunkery to enhance the sake.

I'd say no unless you really want to. There's no callback to the chapter and nothing in it you need to know.
