Zimmy seems to tune into different planes of etheric existence. At first she was tuned into Kat's personality, represented by the pigeon. Now I think she's tuned into the plane of power and there Kat is Queen of the Machines. Although, the author's comment at the bottom of the page is "One day, Zimmy" suggesting something that might happen.
