Is rape worse than murder?
(I'm sorry if that wasn't tactful, but I'm honestly curious)

I haven't studied this and done research or anything, but with Rape you at least get the chance to overcome your tragedy and keep on living
Being dead kind of doesn't leave many venues for emotional empowerment
From a media standpoint, ie webcomics, more people seem to get offended by rape than murder, which I find odd. Not to diminish rape or anything, but nobody seems to bat an eye when murders occur.

It's easy to show seven or eight murders on screen in as many seconds in film. It's over quickly and quickly forgotten by the audience.

Although this occurs sometimes in real rape cases, I can guess he handled it as professionally as he did everything else. (aka just as horribly)

Both are horrible and trying to weigh which is worse makes no sense to me.
But I guess if a murder was self-defense, it's hard to say. Murder is Murder but a self-defense explanation has at least a better chance of redemption.
Rape is just.....rape. Every case is a matter of power. Every. Single. One. There's no self-defense argument for something like that.
I guess it's a matter of intention but both are still horrible acts.

One of the reasons people are touchier about rape than murder in media is because of the way it gets treated in society. Everybody understands murder is wrong, but it's pretty common for rape victims to get blamed for being raped. It's a really serious crime that almost never sees justice and I could go on but it is a huge can of worms and I've got stupid comics to draw.
In short, SMASH THE PATRIARCHY

I've been forgetting to read Unsounded, so it's nice to go back and see ten new pages ready for digestion.

I'm suddenly hella psyched for the next update for Prequel to see if we find out exactly how the fuck Katia managed to use a spell, despite wearing the Amulet of Silence.

Maybe it's not actually an Amulet of Silence and it just kinda worked as a placebo effect.

I think she just broke the Amulet of Silence. Look at it as she's casting, there's sparks and it bounces around a bit.
