“Here Come the Warm Jets” and his collaboration with John Cale “Wrong Way Up” are pretty good, too.Ersatz wrote: I feel I've put off actually listening to Brian Eno's stuff (other than albums he produced) for too long.
Yeah it's pretty cool. I've only listened to Taking Tiger Mountain (By Strategy) and Here Come The Warm Jets yet (and parts of Another Green World) and I like it so far. Not sure about his later stuff and the ambient music.YttriumHydroxide wrote:“Here Come the Warm Jets” and his collaboration with John Cale “Wrong Way Up” are pretty good, too.
Previously I had listened to all David Bowie's and Talking Heads' albums, as well as My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts, and I knew Eno was involved but I had no idea how he himself sounded. It's a nice mixture of the sound of the best albums of both. It has the theatrality of Hunky Dory and Diamond Dogs, the nerdy bounciness of More Songs About Buildings And Food or the nervous gloom of Fear Of Music, and the experimentation and introspection of Low.

And that's what baby's been reduced to"
I've been on a real Lemon Demon kick lately.
Someone lent me 4 Frank Zappa albums (spanning from 1967 to 1991). The one from 1967 mostly bored me but it had some nice parts. The ones from 1991 were insufferable and I kept looking at the remaining time because it wouldn't end fast enough. I put off listening to the remaining one because of it, but I did this evening just to say I did, and I'm glad I did because this one I genuinely enjoyed.
