Reyo, invest in the lightstep perk if you haven't already, it's just too good in this place.
Also I would use the ratslayer but I enjoy having more than one shot in my sniper rifle.

Silenced Sniper Rifle is my long-range sneak kill. All-American is my "oh shit horde of bandits kill them all" gun. And it's awesome at that.
Stuff goes here later.

Re: Fallout General: The war has changed
For non-DLC. I've got La Lounge Carabine for my rifle, AER14 for energy weapons, Thump-thump for explosives, and Chance's Knife and Love & Hate for Melee. Add a Ranger Sequoia for walkin' around and you've got a pretty solid pack of weapons that don't weigh you down too much.
@Grye: Put some more points into guns, or have more strength. Crouching helps too. I know how you feel about Steady. The withdrawal penalty's a bitch, same with Turbo.

Re: Fallout General: The war has changed
I have 10 strength, probably need more guns.
Also I've got the Pushy, it's so great. I was thinking about getting the two-step good bye but since I've got Wrex and uh, some chick who does Melee attacks, so I think I might hurt them a bit too much with it.
But I've got 30k caps just kickin' around and not much to spend them on.

Spray and Pray helps with that. But with Rex or Veronica (The companion you have currently, Grye) I always just use a gun. I'm better at not shooting my companions then I am at not shooting friendly NPCs in battle for some reason.

I've had Veronica for all of 30 minutes. She left when I went to do the Dead cheddar DLC.
And I'm going for a fists only run of the game, excluding the DLC because of those fucking Radios and their high up places.
Actually Fallout NV seems to be the onyl game where I like having company. Since it sorta feels needed.

I invested in that perk the second I could.Gryewolf wrote:Reyo, invest in the lightstep perk if you haven't already, it's just too good in this place.

And true snipers don't NEED more than one shot in their rifles.
As for my "OH SHIT bandits errwhere!" moments, the hunting shotgun works wonders. A Light Shining in Darkness if I'm feeling penisy.
TRUE SNIPERS DO-In all honesty, the better your gun skill, the less you'll have to worry. It may also help to check the STR requirements. I had to get the weapons handling perk just to keep the 50 cal from being a piece of shit. Now, I'm no scoping from 5 meters with no problem. Deathclaws ain't got SHIT!Gryewolf wrote:Oh really? Companions add a bit of fun to the game. Especially if you watch Veronica punch the head off the guy trying to cut you right in front of your face.
It's also fun to imagine their reactions to your choices and/or skills

Re: Fallout General: The war has changed
Are you talking about actual strength, or weapon skills? Because I just said my strength is 10.
Also it took 20 or 30 shots from my sniper rifle to take out the Deathclaw Alpha male, the worst.
I've got Annabelle with me so she'll make things easier I'm sure.

Re: Fallout General: The war has changed
STR of 10 should be well more than enough then. All weapons have a STR and skill rating. The ATM, for example, has a STR requirement of 8 and skill requirement of 100. I got ahold of one well before my gun skill was at 100, and with only a STR of 6 so not only was that shit wobblier than a dog on a cruise ship, but when I took a steady and made sure I was on target, it still didn't want to register a hit. If your shit's wobbling with 10 STR and 100 gun skill, some shit's wrong.
Have you tried kneeling?
EDIT: There might be a perk that does it to. The next time I level I'll see if any of them say "increased weapons stability" (or some shit).

You're going to be vastly disappointed with the remainder of your Fallout experience I'm afraid...Gryewolf wrote:Deathclaw Alpha male
