I had a good time throughout Lonesome Road (though I used player.advlevel to get me to the recommended level before starting) but there are two deathclaws near the end. I must have spent an hour trying to figure out how to beat these motherfuckers. I even tried leveling myself up to the max and I still couldn't fucking take them.

Eventually I just reloaded and applied lots of explosives and used the 10mm shoulder-mounted machine gun to kill them, but GODDAMN did that take me a while.

I've got a question for anyone who's played 1: Is there anything worthwhile in the Glow? I mean, past the first floor? I've only dealt with the first floor because that's all that's needed for the Brotherhood Initation.

The deadlier a place, the better the loot.
Except for Vault 34.
That place is shit with only one room of decent loot, which wasn't worth it.

Says you. It's the location of one of the best guns in the game, the All-American.

Not to mention the Pulse Gun. The best "Fuck You" to robots and power armor you can find without DLC.

Never heard of it.
Probably a garbage gun anyways.

Bear trap fists are OP.
I've only ever died once, and that was because I jumped into an enclosed area full of cloud because I saw a suitcase in there, but the gate needed a key to unlock so whoops ded

Well, I've beaten the game a couple of times and I think I've only died when there was real nonsense encounters with the Super Mutants and their pets. I usually do the intitation around level 10 or so, is that good enough? Also, I don't mind spoiling this for me, so is there a weapon exclusive to the Glow or otherwise a pain to get?

Just finished up Vault 22, that was hella fun, especially when i found a flamer inside. I found the AER14 which is probably going to be my new primary, and now i'm going to try and get Cassy to the Silver rush with my EPIC SPEECH SKILLS.

Go the Camp McCarran and see if you can get the three head bounty and go after Cook Cook.
He's got a Flamer that's pretty boss. It shoots out a ball of fire instead of just flames.

Those of you saying the All-American is the best non DLC weapon: False.

Ratslayer is.

At first I thought it was just another varmint rifle until I started using it. With good enough guns + sneak you can be pickin' people off before they even realize shit's happening. It's real quiet. Good for sneakin' up on motherfuckers.

As for my energy weapon character, the AER14 is pretty freaken magical. Cook-Cook's flamer was pretty fun, especially for vault 22, but I'm a rifle man.

In other news, Dead cheddar can eat a dick.
