Ya know, back when Rare wasn't Casual all the fucking time and not giving us stupid dancing games? These guys are probably Rares Flagship character as they left a heavy influence towards great 3D platforming and open 3D worlds larger than Mario 64's!
They got a sequel that earned itself just as much attention, Banjo-Tooie. And later some stupid GBA game, and finally Banjo-Kazooie Nuts n Bolts that got...attention. Still, the series is good in its own right and deserves a thread.

bodaciously the only way to beat her is to abuse the "rubber-banding" in her AI
Basically, you have to intentionally go really slow at first and then speed up later on.

Set the game to lower FPS to get more button presses per second. Or that's how i did it on emulator.

On a pc you can just set the repeat delay and rate of your keyboard to minimum and maximum.

OH GOD
I played this game a while back before we moved, and had to return it to Blockbuster (we re-rented that game like every week) and I actually beat Canary Mary without abusing the rubber band AI or cheating.
I can press that button really daisies fast.

I still have my original Banjo-Kazooie cartridge, but I haven't played it in years because my brother won't let me connect the N64 to the TV.

I never thought Canary Mary was all that hard, all I did was mash the A-button and pause the game once or twice to rest my hand.

Do what I did. Take a quarter, or other similar coin, between your thumb and forefinger. Hold it so one side faces you, not the edge. While racing CM, rub the edge of the coin back and forth over the A Button. You will go stupid fast if you do it right. And that's how I finally beat Canary Mary.
Got all the Banjo games on their original carts/disks. Including Diddy Kong Racing, Banjo-Pilot, and Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing. And the XBLA rereleases.
No, I don't have a life, how did you know?

The first game I got for N64 was Banjo Kazooie, but it didn't work, so my mom had to go back to the store to trade it in.
The guy at the store convinced her to get OoT instead, so that ended up being the first game I actually played.
I never bought any Banjo Kazooie game after that, but I've always kind of wanted to.
