Hmm... thinking about getting into this. Whats an easy hero to play/learn considering I'm used to(but not good at) league?

Check this out.
Another good beginner guide.
Navi almost looked like they were back for a second there. That rapier throw.

Patch notes are here
Absolute madman tier as usual, is this even dota any more?
In other news my team is dominating that tourney I mentioned so far, hope we can keep this up. I feel like I got a good understanding of the current patch and it's really helping us capitalize on the draft.

These qualifiers are going to be fucking cut-throat goddamn. Also props to Navi, they put in a ton of work to earn this.

I'm still smashing that Dota most every day. Games have been fun, been playing with a variety of people and personalities. Still don't solo queue as often but when I do it's not that bad (playing with friends is just a lot of fun tbh).
Also super stoked that my friends in FDL got voted into Summit 5, gonna root for them this Wednesday!

I don't play that often any more, once or twice a week usually.
Weekend Battle Cup is finally coming though, that should be fun.

I used to be a mid player chiefly (with Invoker being my best hero), but my gaming mechanics seem to have reduced in general lately which caused my laning to suffer (I think it's a concentration problem). So now I'm mostly playing support, it's been going pretty well, on a 7 game winstreak now.
Edit:
Games like this are why I love Dota, winning a base race because our support CK bought rapier

First time Lina, did really well, 14/6/Something. The score was like 46 to 27 or some shit like that.
Despite that we lost because my entire team decided to leave. First Axe went AFK (Right as he got Heart too, the Recipe was sitting on the courier and he had Reaver and Health Booster), then Legion (Literal best carry on our team) DC'd, with Slardar and DP dcing right after.
Still at least I know I can do somewhat decently with Lina.
EDIT:
Peruvians are great sometimes (i'm the Razor)

Never played a MOBA before. Dota 2 is surprisingly fun. I like playing Winter Wyvern.

make sure to build Mekanism and Urn of Shadows so that nobody on your team can die ever

I totally (don't) know what those things are!
The item shop is tedious to learn, but at least it's not as difficult as I was afraid it would be.

ah, apologies.
Mekansm is a active item that you get by buying a Headdress, Buckler, and then the Recipe. It's stats are mediocre but it can be activated to heal for 250 and gives +2 armor to everyone around the hero using it. Can also be combined Arcane Boots and a Recipe to make
Guardian Greaves, which restore health and Mana.
Urn of Shadows is another active item that you get by combining a Sage's Mask, Two Gauntlets of Strength, and the Recipe. It's active stores souls of enemies that die near you as charges and you can use those to either heal an ally for 50 hp per second (up to a total of 400) or damage an enemy for 18.75 damage per second up to a total of 150

Glimmer Cape is also a great pickup on her, as it complements the freeze.

I make a lot of judgement errors and probably look like this to everyone else.
