Timber is a strong hero imo, I don't see him get picked at all any more though. Did he get nerfed at some point? He used to be more common.

Bloodstone nerfs, a few other things. New patch might bring him back, but last meta other offlaners brought lots of utility and had better farming stuff so it wasn't really worth it to have a Timbersaw.

Pretty sure Invoker is free MMR atm, alacrity in lane is hilariously broken.

ive noticed that, every single invoker just does alac now
rip quas wex you will be remembered

I still go quas wex, exort is incredibly potent but you're weaker in teamfights in the midgame because of the short range on tornado and high cd on meteor, whereas quas wex is now top tier at all stages of the games. I only go exort when I have a team that can set up guaranteed sunstrikes or I don't plan on fighting a lot early.
I still use alacrity in lane though, my build is usually
0-0-1
0-1-1
1-1-1
3-1-1
max wex, max exort, level invoke when you can't put points in wex
Quas levels for sustain in lane and for easy kills with cold snap
item build is 2 faerie fire + null talisman->phase boots->urn->force staff->octarine->optional

is FF actually really worth it for the 2 damage?

It's 4 damage total, which is significant. You probably don't need it with alacrity, but invoker doesn't need much regen either. Ff is neat for baiting too, because of the instant heal.
If there is one hero to get it on its invoker imo.

every game had him from what i could tell. people that got DC'd that picked invoker had no sympathy and even their own teammates unpaused.

GG Icefraud.
Also really nerfed a lot of the 6.85 lineup, guess he's trying to usher in the new age of whatever.

a new dawn of pudge picks is upon us

To celebrate the 76 minute games I just won against megas with my ancient on 100 hp, here's my pudge build.
starting: tangoes + 2x gloves of strength if mid, tangoes + salve + gloves of strength + ring of protection if offlane, wards instead of gloves if supporting
bottle->brown boots
urn of shadows first if you can get kills early, otherwise tranquils first then urn
skip urn if someone else gets it and you don't think you're getting a lot kills early (though you should since you're pudge)
blink first if you're snowballing and they have a lot of squishies to jump otherwise aether lense then blink
after aether lense you get that sweet aghanims and you have the tools you need
luxury i usually opt for octarine core

By all means, keep jungling cores against my 5-stack. The free wins are much appreciated.
