I think you're missing my point, Spoony.
Paco said DND kept an argument going over him, thereby implying DND was obsessed with him, trying to antagonize him, w/e. I'm trying to say this isn't the case, and that the argument kept going because other people got involved, people got rustled off etc.
Also, I'm not trying to show you off, and I'm sorry if you feel that way. I was trying to halt the shitstorming, but obviously I'm pretty bad at this.
@princess brothel, English is my second language and I think my brain derped and forgot the word than even existed.
As sales slip, Nintendo faces uncertain future

Hah, I know what you mean Le Great Handsome Oppressor, but it's hard to stop posting when I wasn't posting in the first place. I'll shut up now though

Back to the topic at hand, I wonder what Nintendo will do with the Wii U? I mean, to me, it's more like an upgraded Wii. Better graphics, new controller, that's all I see. The real selling point for me will be their online policy. Do you think Nintendo will finally revamp their online policy for a new console, get rid of friend codes and all that?
Burn 'em to shreds, tear 'em to ashes.

What's wrong with the Wii U being an upgraded Wii if the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 were the same to their predecessors?
Also, I'm pretty sure they said they'd use usernames. Even if they don't, the 3DS uses a single friend code, I don't see what's wrong with that either.

I wonder if Nintendo will stop making gimicky consoles.
The Wii was really good, but the games for it were sup par. Don't get me wrong it did have some great games.
But oddly enough I foudn myself getting the Wii for the GC compatability rather than the games for it.
I also think it should have more of a profile, save your fucking downloads and things of the like.
I'm hoping the WiiU does alot better.

They weren't, actually, at least not in the capacity the wii was to the gamecube.Paco wrote:What's wrong with the Wii U being an upgraded Wii if the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 were the same to their predecessors?
The Wii was practically and basically an upgraded gamecube, which was pretty much the only reason it featured complete backwards compatibility (excluding, naturally, some physical things like the Game Boy Player). Sure, the 360 could still play plenty of original XBox games, but only through sheer processing power. It was sufficiently more powerful than its predecessor that it just flat out emulated it; this was why you had to download the 'software' for each game, they had to tweak emulation settings to accommodate each game. Even with this, the games were plagued with glitches.
Same with PS3, except Sony decided halfway through they couldn't be assed to keep it going. The reason PSX games ran was because a single emulator could definitely handle such simple games.
Same with the DS, it bodaciously had a Gameboy Advance inside it. GBA had a Gameboy somewhere in it. It was the reason we got such perfect backwards compatibility.
The Wii U being an upgraded Wii (if it actually is, are we sure about this on a hardware scale?) is a great thing, because it ensures we'll be able to play Wii games perfectly on it.
Whoops I missed the general point of this discussion and went in the wrong direction
On what was actually being disgcussed, what's wrong with the Wii U being... a console with a cool controller and good graphics?
You could stick any system into that and it works.
"Back to the topic at hand, I wonder what Nintendo will do with the SNES? I mean, to me, it's more like an upgraded NES. Better graphics, new controller, that's all I see."
Since this is garbled English, please refer to the brutal attack of confusion.

The Wii U just seems to be a current generation console, rather than a next gen. Like an alternate universe Wii. It's not a step ahead of the other consoles, it's a step right next to its competitors.

Re: As sales slip, Nintendo faces uncertain future
and seeing as it competes directly with "other consoles" you are making absolutely no sense
