Almost made it through Chapter 10 again and then I fucked up and Orochi died.

In other news, I was doing Chapter 20 of Conquest. I beat every single enemy except for the boss. Lined everyone up to smack him.

Miss miss miss. Then the guy kills me.

Cue the most rage inducing level restart yet.

On my second g through of Conquest's chapter 10 I totally aced it on the first try. Guess all it takes to be good at something is to already have done it in a past life.

I made it through Chapter 21 without having to reset at all.

Remember to use Dragon Veins, kids.

Man Boo Camp makes it super simple to build supports, which is great for Conquest

Currently working on Kaze and Beruka and I need to figure out who I should pair with Felicia. Maybe Laslow.

I too paired Elise with the great and powerful Odin Dark.

Also, is it just my bad luck, or is Odin a terrible mage? I'm at about level 8 of Dark Knight/whatever the magic horse class is, and his magic is only 15. Compare Leo who has 32 and Ophelia who has 30.

He's still useful as a tank-ish character (he ended up with high HP and decent defense) but his magic growths were so bad that it's just sad.

He will definitely be getting reclassed in my next playthrough.

Odin Dark only has a 50% growth rate on his magic stat, only 5% more than his strength stat, which sucks for, you know, attacking things with magic, but better for multiclassing.

EDIT: I just checked and when Odin reclasses into a dark knight his magic growth rate drops to a whopping 40% wtf dude

I guess that was just my bad luck then, since I think he had 12 Mag before I promoted him.

Not-exactly-me x (child unit spoilers)Ophelia; First playthrough she had no pair-up and still crushed everything with stupid amounts of crits, and I thought "Huh. Maybe I should pair her up with my unit next time". So here we are. Still getting stupid amounts of crits... but TOGETHER!

Silas x Elise; Silas was the only person who seemed not-crazy enough to make me comfortable pairing little Elise with.

THE GREAT AND POWERFUL ODIN DARK x Selena; I remembered them both from what I saw of Awakening (are they the same people or what is it I have no idea), and all of a sudden in my crazy head it just made sense. I laughed pretty hard at their S-rank conversation.

Camilla x Laslow; Blame the Hubba Tester.

Leo x Felicia; My two favorite units for personality just had to go together... right?

Xander x Azura; Because they're both important enough in the plot for each other... and they destroy everything in the arena.

... Everyone else was sort of just paired on a whim. I think that I need to work on my character shipping skills.

Also up until I got Ophelia, Odin was doing really well this playthrough. I could throw him into an area of weak enemies with Nosferatu and Selena right behind him; he'd soften up or even vanquish enemies and essentially take no damage whatsoever. The best part was that it always worked! Ophelia just doesn't do that quite as well as he did, 'tis a shame.

I just got Charlotte and Benny and I'm pairing Benny with Camilla because that just seems cruel. I'm putting Charlotte with Laslow because he deserves it. Then I got Keaton and stuck him with Felicia because ?????????

Got Fire Emblem Conquest, any tips for a first timer?

don't get cocky, kid. Also if you're hurting for experience Boo Camp is your best friend. If you don't want to spend $2.50 on the map then my only suggestion is don't feed Felicia/Jakob any experience because they're already upgraded and don't need that stuff inside them. If you've ever played FE Radiant Dawn then you should have experience with rationing exp out to the people you want to reach late game.
