Re: Fire Emblem
Now in regards to the new FE coming out, it has some similarities to FE2 and 8 so far, what other similarities will it have? Will it have monster classes (yes, 2 had them)? Will it have trainee classes (villager in 2, recruit/pupil/etc in
? Will we get the kickin' sweet Gold Knight/Great Knight sprite for any unit?

Re: Fire Emblem
I just got Colm up to level 20. What would you recommend I promote him to, Rogue or Assassin? I like the idea of not needing a lockpick, but the assassin class looks awfully tempting...
Re: Fire Emblem
Depends, Assassins are better at head on combat. Though I always go Rogue, and he is still great in combat, so...I say Rogue, because it clears up a space in his inventory, getting rid of those lock-picks.
Also, I started Hard Mode PoR.

Re: Fire Emblem
I say make Colm a Rogue, too. He's much better stat-wise than Rennac and a strong thief who doesn't need a lockpick is an amazing thing to have. If you need an assassin, you could always promote Joshua or Marisa--I always make Joshua an assassin.

Re: Fire Emblem
So, started Sacred Stones Hard Mode. Doing Ephraim's route since I did Eirika's last time. I'm also not going to use the tower of grinding.
God help me. I've already had to restart multiple times. I'm almost about to cave and use my stat items.
And Colm's promotion should wait until you see if you mess up recruiting Rennac. You need at least one person who can steal.

Ah; I didn't know Myrmidons could promote to Assassins. Thanks!Coriserai wrote:I say make Colm a Rogue, too. I just left the Tower of Valni and the last floor I completed had a chest I couldn't open because I forgot my lockpick.
Re: Fire Emblem
Oh man, Hard mode on PoR is fun. I actually have to use more strategy and use the terrain to my advantage more, as well as use characters I frequently overlooked.

Re: Fire Emblem
I'm almost finished grinding in the Lagdou ruins in my game file. Here are the characters I got to level 20: Ephraim, Eirika, L'arachel, Neimi, Colm, Natasha, Artur, Lute, Saleh, Amelia, Innes, Gerik, Tana, Vanessa, Syrene, Knoll, Cormag, Marisa, and Joshua.
I am SO ready to beat the demon king! Bwahahaha. I might not even use Myrrh at all (I used to depend on her a lot in previous games)

Re: Fire Emblem
I beat the final level in like...8 turns all with my characters 8-10, classed up.
So yeah, I'd say you're well prepared.

Re: Fire Emblem
Erp.
So. I was on that level in PoR where you get Lethe and Mordecai as your partners, but you don't control them and I was doing great and I was just about to beat it in enough turns to get the bonus exp...and then Mordecai stood in front of the boss while not in beast form, got attacked and died.
T_T what the fuck, Mordecai?

Re: Fire Emblem
Still stuck on hard mode chapter 11 (Ephraim route). I'm considering deploying some of the units I never plan on using as bait, let them die for me.
Why has it come to this?
