Fire Emblem
Re: Fire Emblem
I've been doing the first level of that tower in SS Ranking up ERRYONE.
So far
Franz>Great Knight
Colm>Rogue
Tana>Wyvern Knight
aandd I think that's all I have the items for right now but I have many more units close to level 20, so when I get the items they'll be close to being ready.
EDIT: Oh, I have a Guiding Ring.
C'mon, Lute! Time to Class up!

Re: Fire Emblem
The ONLY characters I ever promote before 20 are clerics/priests, because unlike dancers who can grind for exp for free at any time, they can only grind when someone is injured, which is hard when all your units are so good.
The only Recruit I used was Ross, the others just don't come soon enough or wield axes.

Re: Fire Emblem
In efficient play AKA lowest turncounts you tend to rank people up by around 10-15Chekt wrote:I laugh at people who rank up their people before level 20.

Re: Fire Emblem
Thats awful.
Plus I'm thinking about going through Por and...actually reading the words. And then hopefully the story and characters will be motivation to complete RD...

Re: Fire Emblem
so I found my SS cartridge the other day. I'm nearly at the end of the game, and grinding in the Lagdou Ruins. Gerik is a freaking BEAST as a Hero, and Marisa is an excellent Sword Master.

Re: Fire Emblem
Not really, it's more efficient to promote your units earlier because those extra stats you gain are clutch early-mid game and enemy stats are not that high endgame to where you absolutely need to have a 20/20 unit to pass the chapters. The only 20/20 you really need is Ike in PoR and that's not much of a problem anyways as Ike doesn't get promoted until chapter 17 anyways.Chekt wrote:Thats awful.

Re: Fire Emblem
In PoR the only characters who are worth prepromoting are Laura. She maxes her magic stat much too early and level 2nd tier class stat caps are too low.
Also the best time to use Bonus exp is when a character maxes their main stats. Since Bonus Exp levels 3 stats every time it's best used to max stats with lower ratios, like defense for mages or resistance for archers.

Re: Fire Emblem
This is how my Shinon got every single stat maxed out, and became my MVP in FE10, upstaging Ike and Nephenee by twice as many kills.Shoolis wrote:In PoR the only characters who are worth prepromoting are Laura. She maxes her magic stat much too early and level 2nd tier class stat caps are too low.

I can't see L'Arachel or Innes mentioned in the game without thinking of

Re: Fire Emblem
I always thought it was INN-ess and LAR-uh-KELL. Is there any official pronunciation for any of these?

Re: Fire Emblem
I pronounce Innes like 'Ines' (vines), and I pronounce L'Arachel as 'LA-rah-chell'. Also, when I first got the game I kept thinking Eirika's name was just Erika.
