MY ISP IS NOTORIOUSLY BAD AND UNRELIABLE, THERE ARE TIMES WHEN MY DOWNLOAD SPEED IS 20 KB/SEC (not exaggerating) ALTHOUGH IT IS NORMALLY 300-600 KB/SEC

generally having a source game on your computer makes other source games download faster, since it doesnt need to redownload the engine, or something like that I think.

Yeah. If you have hl2.exe, other source games don't take as long but that still doesn't explain the 3.7 mbps download speed.

No. It started at zero percent. This wasn't sharing anything with the other games.
The download speed said the speeds I've told you guys, and I watch the percentage go up myself.
I also check afterwards and I was down 7.2 gigs of hard drive space.
This is clearly the work of a demon.

If you get a 20kBps download speed, that's more likely to be your fault for downloading multiple things at the same time or the server's for being loaded or having poor upload speeds.
