also like I would like to be a part of this but I can't sprite so is there anything I can do apart from ask someone to make me one? Or could I just draw a very poorly done version?

The battles would be a side-view (no screen movement), player on the left, enemies right. For the overworld... I'm not fully decided, but I was thinking of having it side-scrolling but where you can go up/down on the path. Like Double Dragon or Streets Of Rage.
It won't be grid movement. God no!
The player sprite is 60x80 approx.

I'm not fully decided, but I was thinking of having it side-scrolling but where you can go up/down on the path. Like Double Dragon or Streets Of Rage.

also yeah, proletariats should be bosses unless like one pretended to be good/evil I dunno as a mod might want to be a playable character.

Assuming that the animation is only super-fast because of Opera, awesome!
Any chance you could do simple animations for the attacks? And getting hit? And possibly dying?
