I take it I'm the only one who doesn't like the Dark World remix? It just sounds way too festive to me. I dunno, maybe it'll turn out to be rather fitting when I play the game, but if Lorule is as messed up as it looks, this is just far too upbeat a theme. Hell, Brawl's version of the Dark World theme seems like it would be more fitting.
I've already pre-ordered the game, and I'm going to give it a chance, but I'm really not looking forward to it. I've even been looking at reviews, and while it has been getting really good ratings, the few negative reviews I've seen are the only ones I've seen that even mention the writing.

Good Dad Ganon
Sort of neither here nor there, but a friend of mine was thinking about the cuteness of Gerudo women having little Gerudo daughters (which she doodled in another drawing) and then thought that somewhere down the long line of single Gerudo males (pre-Ocarina, probably), there was probably a Ganondorf like this.
And she just wanted to draw it.
So, I share with you all.

That's cute. I am amused by things that depict Ganondorf as a regular person instead of some constantly-plotting-evil bad dude. That picture reminds me of another one I saw a few weeks ago talking about Ganondorf and the number of children he could have possibly sired.

That's adorable! Now if that friend of yours can make characters like Majora's Mask, Onox, Nightmare, and Tingle look cute, then I'll be really impressed.

Even if it's unfitting, it's still an amazing song in its own right

Spent the past few hours beating ALttP. Not 100% but I mean 5 hours is pretty good considering I died a ton of times. As speedruns have taught me, I did a ton of bombjumps across pits and more. Seriously made some parts easier.
Oh and the power went off during the credits since I didn't have my DS plugged in. Thank god I didn't run out of magic against Ganon a second time.
And the Master Sword sleeps again... FOREVER! Love to see how they retcon that!

I've brought this up many times, and it still pisses me off. Looking at the official timeline, we know that after the "master sword sleeps forever," Link goes on to the Oracle games, which, admittedly, have the Master Sword in them. In those, however, it is forgivable, since there it is not an important part of the story; rather, it is more like an easter egg than anything else, as it shows up as part of the Linked Game content. We then get Link's Awakening, which a) had the Ultimate Sword, and b)
was all a dream. We then get the first two games, neither of which featured the Master Sword. So up until now, in that timeline, the Master Sword has indeed "slept forever."
The really ironic part is that Nintendo is obviously making this game primarily to cash in on the nostalgia of fans of A Link to the Past. This almost falls apart when you consider that they are directly contradicting the meaningful words presented at the story's conclusion, with the message of the Master Sword "sleeping again forever" being a satisfying, if rather simple, symbol of triumph.
Now, I can see one thing they could do, though I doubt they'll actually do it: simply have there be a version of the Master Sword in Lorule(ugh, I still can't believe they went with that name). Or, you know, they could just introduce some new magical sword that repels evil that is totally nothing like the Master Sword. I mean, they've done that several times before.

this is a series in which a land that was about to be destroyed was called "termina", I think you are getting way too hung up on dumb puns

Im pretty sure there have been several instances of blades as well which repel eveil in history books. Its not like a paladin's blade is special yknow.
