My real big problem with Skyward Sword was the results of the attempt to make the overworld "Like a dungeon." What that became was large quests that you have to complete to get into every dungeon. EVERY DUNGEON. It was a novel Idea, but it just lead to me being kept from the climatic, generally very well done, actual dungeons for long periods of time, in places that were generally very flat in design.
The other implication of the "Everything's a dungeon" idea was that the formula would be strayed from a bit, but the whole game turned out to be very formulaic. All in all, it was a decent game that wasn't what I wanted, and I hope for more with the next one.

I understand your points, but I think mechanically SS is the best (what with the motion controls even if they have divided opinion.) I think that they were used in very clever ways. Another thing I liked was how the items were used in many situations and, which was a first, could be upgraded (a welcome change from the usual "here's a slingshot to use for the 1st dungeon and then never again").

I actually did really like the controls and hope to see it again in the next game (I forgot to mention that aaagh I need to work on my writing skills). The controls were one of the best aspects of the game and I didn't experience any problems with it.
I don't totally hate the upgrade system, but I hope it'll be improved in future games because I felt that it didn't mesh well with the rest of the game.

I'm really bummed that I won't be able to go to to the Zelda Symphony. Like, I wanna cry. I shouldn't cry over something like that though. But I'm really crushed.

I liked Skyward Sword, if only because of Ghirahim. Despite the frustration with the Wii Controls, I found the first time I fought him to be really fun, if not humiliating and mean.
I try hitting him, he grabs my sword.
He then TAKES my sword.
He then BEATS me with my own sword.
He starts giving me advice on how to use my own sword...
I somehow get the sword back off of him with my shield. He doesnt even care.
I continue attacking him, stop for a breather.
He walks up to me. He Bitch Slaps me. That made me mad XD
Eventually I manage to get in a few more hits, and what does he do? He materializes a sword.
At this point, and i say this because I have not done this since I was a child of 8 in Oracle of Ages, but I started to fear the dude XD
I swear to god that was the most fun battle Ive ever had XD

Ghirahim was a big high point For Breanna. >.>
I thought he was cool. One of my favorite parts was the whole lore of Hyrule and the Master Sword came to be is what kept me playing..

If you're in the last dungeon you should go back and just finish it, WW has one of the best final boss fights. It has this really great atmosphere and some of Ganon's best dialogue.

Did the same thing. I also have no desire or means to play it again knowing Tingle's fetch quests are mandatory.

I've said this before, but I seriously don't know how anybody had any problems paying Tingle for the maps. I never had any shortage of rupees for that.

Tingle being involved and it technically being a large sum of cheddar (not that you aren't fucking swimming in Rupees in that game from the lack of shit to buy outside of the auction and all of the ways to get shitloads of cheddar in those huge booty wallets) were the only qualms I had with the Triforce quest. The rest of it was fun to track down the maps and find the pieces. My favorite part was the ghost ship.
But yeah, I don't see how that section was as big of a deal as people make it out to be. It seems to be the designated complaint point of the game.
Really, the only thing I didn't like about the game was the lack of a great number of dungeons. You really had only 7 dungeons (If you include the pretty short Ganon's Tower), and I was left wanting a little more, since I loved the dungeon design of the game (Especially Dragon Roost and the Tower of the Gods).

Not gonna lie; to this day the Tower of the Gods still scares the shit out of me. I have a problem with really, really large open spaces like the one at the very start of the dungeon. Also really, really big things in general like the boss (Godhand?). He's still my favorite in that game though.

The big spaces were kinda creepy to me too, especially with the sounds.
But hey, at least there were no Redeads.
Fuck redeads to hell. Forever.
I'm so glad redeads weren't in SS. They wouldn't even fit in well... except for maybe in the Silent Realm.

Yeah, I agree WW didn't have enough dungeons that 'felt' like dungeons... or something.
TP got that right at least - I mean the whole game was so wonderfully gloomy and atmospheric.
