Ghirahim is the best Nintendo villain.
And the most quotable since Fawful.

Never really cared for Ghirahim. Didn't really think he was an interesting villian
Bring on the rage

That makes me furious! Outraged! Sick with anger!
Nah, I respect people's opinions.

I guess what you're trying to say is...
THAT ELEMENT LOVING DOG JUST DISSED LORD GHIRAHIM.
But no, Ghirahim isn't the best Nintendo villain in my mind either. I personally prefer Count Bleck, though I haven't really pondered on the best overall villain for Nintendo... Hmm...

easily gannondorf come on
The guy actually ends up winning in his smaller plots (although sometimes much bigger ones also, such as in OoT) before Link even gets the CHANCE to stop him.
There is not a game this has not happened in.

The only version of Ganondorf that I really like is WW's Ganondorf, maybe because he was more of a person than "Look at him. He's evil. Defeat him!"
And he actually appeared a bit more than in other games too.
I actually prefer Bowser to him. At best, Bowser is a worthy opponent to Mario, and at worst he's an ineffectual large ham. But no matter where he falls in that spectrum, he's always awesome.

Don't worry. I just tossed him in again in 3D Land. He's probably done for.

I was exaggerating to be honest.
Overall favourite villain for real is...
Hmmm... Dedede? He's only actually been a real villain in the original Dream Land, but he might sort of count. Nah, I'd probably say...
Porky Minch, the right little bastard.

Porky at least gets some points for being one of the more f'd up villains.
Haven't played SS through yet so I can't say if Ghirahim suddenly becomes lame later in the game but I'm liking his over-the-top expressions, even if the game has so far given absolutely no backstory for him.

I swear I ENJOYED hating Ghirahim. I was so looking forward to killing him but nooo, he turns into a sword.
I'd love to see the next incarnation of Ganondorf using a trident though, final boss sword duels are nice and all but I'd like to see him use it as a callback to earlier games (Did Ganon use a trident in any game other than aLttP?)

Ghirahim didn't have especially memorable motivations or plans, but he had a really funny personality and was really quotable--that's why I like him.
Overall best Nintendo villain is Bowser, obvs.

So uh, do you HAVE to do silent realms more than once or is the first one the only required one?

What do you mean by that?
Because there are four different ones total, but you only have to do each one once. However, you can re-do them to get a better time as a mini-game to win treasures.
