Outside of some fairly clumsy swimming, I haven't had a problem. Only a few times where the controls get a little out of alignment.Unbalanced wrote:I seem to be one of the only people on the planet that has not had trouble with the motion controls at all.Sloth wrote:I seem to be one of the only people on the planet that is a bit let down about Skyward Sword so far.

The boss for the pirate ship looks like some fucking thing from Monsters, Inc.
And all i got was a dousing upgrade...

Re: The Legend of Zelda
The boss fight was really cool and all, but after I was done with it I had to wonder where that thing even came from. It just steps in without warning when you enter the "boss room", and conveniently enough there's suddenly a thunderstorm to go with the fight, which naturally disappears the moment you beat it. You'd think the water wasn't even deep enough to hide something as big as that. And not to mention Fi got the location of Nayru's flame completely wrong, as it was actually up on the deck all along.Chekt wrote:The boss for the pirate ship looks like some fucking thing from Monsters, Inc.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
Yeah also during that fight you could see the ENTIRE OCEAN.
Which shouldn't happen because it was only an ocean in the past and the timeshift stones are localized as hell!

please stop that right now

Rule of awesome, guys, come on.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
The rule of awesome doesn't apply when the boss looks that stupid.

Plot holes and logic flaws aside, I just thought it was a lame boss. I was really hyped when all these tentacles started penetratingget your mind out of the gutter the ship, and what I got looks like a throwaway from Phantom Hourglass. Not to mention that this is a HUGE let-down after the stellar boss that came before it.

I just realized how much I hate flying in SS. It's even worse than the sailing in Wind Waker (which admittedly wasn't that bad), because at least then you could put the controller down and do something else. But no, here you have to be constantly paying attention or you'll crash into one of the zillions of rocks flying around.

Actually, it was below deck. In was in that central column in that control room, and it comes out of the deck after the boss fight. Besides, I think she only said that the room was likely to be "important".Xylitol wrote:And not to mention Fi got the location of Nayru's flame completely wrong, as it was actually up on the deck all along.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
Guys, we need more posts. The Skyrim thread's overtaken us.
I'm surprised nobody's pointed out that the Link Dies timeline starting with ALttP opens up a huge plot hole.
Also, I've suddenly heard a lot of people bashing Oracles lately. What do you forumites think of it?

Skyrim's a sandbox RPG versus LoZ's linear path. You're surprised by this?Sir Real wrote:Guys, we need more posts. The Skyrim thread's overtaken us.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
That was probably my least favourite part of sailing in WW, except perhaps having to stop completely before you can start fending off enemies. The fact that sailing was slightly less interesting than watching a loading screen really killed the experience for me. And how are you crashing into rocks? You can see them coming from a mile away and only have to tilt the remote slightly in any direction to avoid them. I actually found the rocks helpful since you could navigate using them rather than WW's method of checking the map every five minutes to see if you're still pointing at the island you're aiming for.BeatBoxingBoo wrote:I just realized how much I hate flying in SS.
