So the water temple in Ocarina of Time 3D is sort really disappointing.
I never had any trouble at all, it's actually the first adult Dungeon I haven't at least glanced at a guide for.
I was expecting the boss to be horrifying and unchanged, but all I had to do was strafe forever? I only got hit once!

That water temple was hella' difficult in the original.
I managed to get stuck in it, iirc. Misused a key in the original N64 version.
Giving the Iron Boots the ability to be equipped like a regular item made it 100x easier.

I used the Compass and Map for about a half hour to navigate my way through the Temple. Made my day alot easier.
I was thinking with portals 3d on the Gamecube.

Even though I've conquered it many times, the OoT Water Temple still makes me stop and think whenever I challenge it anew.
Same with the OoT Forest Temple.

Started a blind Skyward Sword LP. I have the horrible feeling that it's going to end up kicking my booty.

Sir Real wrote:You know, there's something else that's been bugging me about Yahtzee's (stupid and unfunny)review, but I just figured out what it was. There's a part where a Zelda fanboy responds with terror and loathing to Yahtzee showing him Okami. Why would that draw that response from a Zelda fanboy? I mean, yes, there are some people who, for reasons I will never understand, hate Okami with a burning passion, but I don't see what that has to do with loving The Legend of Zelda. Yes, I know that the discussion over Yahtzee's crappy review is long over, but if he can beat a dead horse to a putrefied pulp, I can still beat one that's only mostly dead.
Something I wonder, Did you bother to upgrade your equipments in SS? I got shield upgrades and ammo expansions. But I wanted to keep the game hard so I avoided anything that increase attack strength.

One thing I really dislike is how the game does the You got a thing! cutscene every time I get anything, even if I already have dozens of it. Still not as stupid as in TP, but much more annoying.
You got an Amber Relic! Blah blah blah unskippable wall of text here is your inventory oh look it went from 18 to 19 now wait another 5 seconds looking at your inventory before you can continue playing

That was annoying for every load up. I'd much rather they just limit it to the first time you get something and every time you get that something in a chest (though in that case, they could just not update the inventory numbers).
Also, is it just me, or were Dark Crystals shit easy to get? Someone told me to grind to get 3-4 for upgrading in the Ancient Cistern, and afterwards, I ended up finding at least 5 more randomly in the game, not even from blue chests.
Was I extremely lucky, or were people hyping it up for no reason?
Anyways, I upgraded everything to the highest level except my wooden and metal shields (they only got the first upgrade). The bug catching net was amazing after it was upgraded.
The only things I really grinded for upgrades (besides Dark Crystals) were Ancient flowers (because I sold all of mine for quick cash since they were valuable) and tumbleweeds.
Other than that, I got everything else I needed just from adventuring.

I got the first bow upgrade but I didn't notice a huge difference. And I got all the shield upgrades but like that helped...
