Re: The Legend of Zelda
Finally, someone else who has this problem!...the shield thing, not the boner thing.Chekt wrote:I played Skyward Sword all afternoon. I just beat the first temple.
This game gives me wonderful boners.
And I never use my shield, because when it is equipped every slight nunchuck movement makes it thrust. It pisses me off, so I just keep it unequipped until I fight an enemy where I absolutely need it.
Skyward Sword is so epic it can even give girls boners.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
Well it is the first game.
I guess they were still perfecting their sheild technology.

It wouldn't be as bad if the shields were cheaper.

Man that second fight with Ghirahim. I could masturbate for 12 hours straight and get less wrist exercise.
Anyway now I'm stuck trying to get the Rattle for that damned potion shop owner, I skydive like a brick

Re: The Legend of Zelda
The second fight was a bitch. Mostly because I couldn't get any hits on him in the first half of the battle. Once I finally got to the sword fight, he was cake. I was very sore though, didn't help that I went and did the tadtones the next day.Mr. Mander wrote:Man that second fight with Ghirahim. And diving takes a bit of practice. I suggest trying out Fun Fun Island and trying to get the heart piece to fine tune your diving. If you can get the heart piece, you can get the rattle.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
You guys dived for the rattle? I didn't figure out you could dive to that spot until I had already retrieved it. I just used Beedle's shop as a platform, blew away the dust pile because I saw some rupees, and snagged it with the beetle.
Of course I wasn't even at the point in the game where I could give it to the dude with the baby, so nyeh.

Ganondorf was never revived in The Wind Waker.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
I just entered the Earth Temple.
So far I have not seen any problems with the controls. Not even while flying/diving or rolling bombs...which are the most common complaints that I've heard.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
about the revival thing, I'm wondering if Ganondorf was sealed again (somehow) during the flood.
Plus, I'm not sure what they mean by revive. This could be a translation error for something like "he returned" or some variation of it which could either mean escaping from a seal or actually being reborn.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
Yeah the second "revival" is probably just when he got all his power back when Link pulled the Master Sword.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
You know, there's something else that's been bugging me about Yahtzee's (stupid and unfunny)review, but I just figured out what it was. There's a part where a Zelda fanboy responds with terror and loathing to Yahtzee showing him Okami. Why would that draw that response from a Zelda fanboy? I mean, yes, there are some people who, for reasons I will never understand, hate Okami with a burning passion, but I don't see what that has to do with loving The Legend of Zelda. Yes, I know that the discussion over Yahtzee's crappy review is long over, but if he can beat a dead horse to a putrefied pulp, I can still beat one that's only mostly dead.
As for the Zelda timeline, I'm pop flyin' to see that I was at least right about Oracles taking place between Link to the Past and Link's Awakening. A lot of the rest I didn't see coming though. I do think the idea of a separate timeline for Link dying is stupid. Though it does kind of make sense; the prologue to Link to the Past can be linked to the events of Ocarina of Time. The sages mentioned in the prologue could easily be the "old sages" referred to by Rauru, and the descendants...wait. Okay, now I'm confused again. I guess that's what I get for thinking about something while I'm typing it.
