So I tried the tutorial of this game a bit.
Hate to say it, but I don't see the appeal to this game that much, sorry, but I'll stick with Dota.
I will say that I like the setup for this game other than the bullshit "hey you gotta pay for more heroes!"
No, just no.
Edit:Well, I should ask...why exactly should I play this along with Dota 2?

You don't need to pay for more characters. Not with real cheddar anyway. The only things in LoL you need to pay cash for are XP or IP(in-game currency) boosts and skins.
As for why you should play, a change of pace? I'm not too big into DotA 2 so I can't really go into specifics.

with lol there is no day/night cycle
you don't have to micro manage heroes with units
different units
levels only go to 18

And you don't lose gold when you die, and the game is easier to read visually, at least to me. When I tried dota, I was staring straight at the screen trying to figure out what was going on and it just wasn't happening. And I couldn't even see my own champion, I swear he was camoflauged with the background...
Also aren't dota champs only free because it's in beta or something? At least that's what I heard.

also there's no denying in LoL which I always saw as a detriment
I'm going to willingly weaken my push for more cheddar, no fuck that stack minions and fuck towers up
also my laptop can run LoL whereas dota... not so much

their ganks and teamfight skills are super lackluster under most situations
I think you guys missed that part. Yes, they can be monsters. Mundo can super tank and peel like nobody's business, but only if he got fed, which is hard to do. His only ability for ganking is to throw a slowing cleaver at the enemy. He doesn't have a stun or gapcloser, so generally it will be hard to actually do anything unless you take the enemy by surprise with a lanegank or something...
Nunu can be a monster as well, his slow, blood boil, and ult can win teamfights. But if 4/5 of the enemy has a silence/stun/push(WHICH MOST TEAMS DO), then you will never get to ult, ever. I freaking hate playing Nunu and NEVER GETTING TO ULT. Again, for ganking, he only has a slow projectile. If your laner has a good way to also CC the enemy, then sure, he might can do something, but otherwise, nothing happens.
Thing is, I mainly played Mundo and Nunu like... a year ago... They are a lot of fun. But then I started going against harder opponents, and I didn't feel comfortable playing a champion that I only had like a 1/3 chance of winning with. Maybe I should try to pick them back up now and see how they go, but I haven't seen them in games for a while. Nunu had a spurt of popularity after his buffs with getting "minibuffs", but after a while he waned back out of play. I see a Mundo less then I do Xerath, or Urgot...
Not saying they are "bad champions", but are just outclassed by a lot of other picks.

I don't play Dota so I can't say much about which one's better. I do like the art style of League better, I think having all the champs/heroes at once is a little daunting, and the idea of "every ability is OP therefore the game is balanced" seems a little sketchy to me. 5 second stuns? Like, I can't imagine that'd be fun to play against at all.
The only thing I've heard about Dota that I would actually really like is the looser metagame. I'd like to play any champ anywhere but alas, there's a right and wrong place for everyone in league.

Jeese Tatzel what is with you, do you just come on the leagues thread to snap at people?

Is having a different opinion about champs "snapping at people" now?
But come on man, vealin asked a bazillion times already how to build Wukong, we told him every time, I have to do the same in the Skype chat, he regularly plays him in the game, yet he keeps asking what he's supposed to do
If this is supposed to be a joke then it's a really bad one

Perhaps its not what to build, it's when to build it, under what situations.
