Because for the cheddar it costs, and for essentially being redbuff with some stats, its not as good as redbuff is for free.
for only 300 more gold you can get a last whisper, last whisper only had 5 more damage on it, but a passive that gets better as the game goes on.
It works on ez because you are just spamming so much as him constantly early game that the extra damage you get from the true damage is actually pretty substantial.

Helped my friend with his qualifiers on a smurf account. Playing against bronze people is the funnest thing ever. He was placed in Silver III. Nunu too strong, 9 wins 2 loses so far.

Got another double promotion, from Gold IV to Gold II. Platinum, here I come!

Incidentally, my win rate with Zyra right now is 75%. 21 wins to 7 losses, all of them mid lane. I'm still of the opinion that she's borderline OP as an AP carry.

Well, seeing how Zyra was designed as an AP carry...

But I never see her played as such, beside myself. Almost everyone plays her botlane, and her LoLking items support (lol) that. It makes me sad, but also means not many people know how to handle her mid lane, which is nice.

When she was released, she was met with an resounding "Eh." I think S3's items and changes have helped her a lot but most people haven't noticed or don't like it or don't want to try something for themselves and just want to copy the pros.

Dude, when she was released she was fucking BROKEN. She got nerfed a week after her release because she was that strong. I remember, I played her constantly during that time and I never lost a game. After that she fell slightly out of favour because she required a degree of finesse to use and the reward wasn't quite as high as for other APs at the time but she was still very very good. I remember playing her for a while after her nerfs and not actually realising the changes had been implemented until I looked at her movement speed.

EDIT: 2 weeks after. They nerfed every part of her kit except for her Q. And they've only nerfed her more since then.

She does bring a lot of utility still, though. I really like seeing CC-heavy champs go mid like Zyra and Lissandra. And it's not like they don't do a lot of damage either.

I so remember differently. Maybe I wasn't paying attention. All I know is that I didn't see her anywhere after the first week and I don't recall any big player singing her praises. Again, maybe I was inattentive. Eh, still. Regardless of how good she is now, people would rather play the fotm in mid, which seems to be Ahri and Fizz right now.

Speaking of Zyra, this build. Apparently some guy in solo queue was doing it and Rioters in the esports department starting using it.

How do Elder Lizard and Liandry's even interact? Liandry's says it procs on spell damage, so I'm guessing the burn from Lizard wouldn't count as spell damage, so it wouldn't stack there. But, Lizard's description says it doesn't work on spells/attacks that do damage over time, which Liandry's makes all spells do. Unless Lizard only takes into account the original spell itself.

They don't. The plants proc both, causing DOTS ERRYWER.

Yeah, I remember that Zyra got a hotfix like 1 week after she got released because she was too strong. That's the only hotfix I've ever experienced during the time I'm playing League I think.



I undusted Irelia and Nocturne. Kinda weird not seeing them anymore, especially Nocturne. They might not be as great as some current top laners and junglers, but they are still strong and solid champs.
