Anyone else think it would be cool if there was a champion with an ability where ability power affected something other than damage done/healed/shielded? Like buff/CC duration or range, or new effects at certain thresholds.

I guess, but it would have to be a very minor bonus or have the base duration/whatever be pitiful as to not be overpowered.

I'm pretty sure a rioter like Morello or someone mentioned that on the forums, in a discussion about supports. They mentioned how it would be cool for CC and buff duration to scale with AP for supports, and remove the damage scaling with AP, to discourage playing them full AP and doing tons of damage while healing their team.

Or at least something like that.

:psyduck: I think you derped something up here, how does AP scaling discourage building full AP?

Just bought Trundle. Had I known he was this good I woulda bought him before the rework so I could claim hipster status.

His old Q animation was REALLy wonky, compounded with the fact that he had no real way to stick to his opponent beyond taking the time to cast Pillar, made it kind of necessary to rework him

The visual update was just an added bonus

I managed to snatch him up days before the patch. Have only played him once in an ARAM so far(it was amazing), and didn't even set the classic skin.

Meh. Sejuani, Trundle and Sion all get a rework.

BUT WHAT ABOUT URGOT?!

He is bodaciously the least played champs in the game.
9.7k games in the last month. At 270k is Ashe. Even Poppy is played twice as often as Urgot.

Y U DO THIS TO ME RIOT?

I remember a post Morello made saying that the champion design team is comfortable with Urgot's current place as a niche pick. I'm pretty sure they said he was getting an art/visual update though. Probably needs to look more like a bloated sack of fetid reanimated corpse

Aatrox' skin actually looks fuckin awesome, guess I gotta reconsider buying him, whoops.

Darius new skin looks fuckin awesome too, guess I gotta reconsider him aswell, oops. Even though it makes me angry that Darius gets YET another skin, while other champs are still left with only one.

Evelynn is free this week, if you haven't given her a try, you should. She's really fun.
