Those champs are popular for a reason. They're just really good, solid picks that have the most potential to change a game. Yeah, full AD Nocturne is fun, but nobody gets out of bronze V playing that.

Thing about ranked is that you play to win, not have fun. If you want to have fun while winning, that can be difficult.

Of course, some people think doing whatever they have to do to win is fun, so good on them.

What I mean to say is that while you can have fun while winning, it is difficult. You either need to:
a. Learn to win with the champions you have fun with(aka people who get Diamond elo only playing Heimerdinger, Skarner, etc). With practice, you can win most of your games with anybody.
b. Learn to have fun with the champions that are strong.

I once got an instalocked ap mid yi
I was doing awful and he kept insulting me.
I snarked one time about his autolocking and you know what he says
"typical bronze attitude"
I wanted to call him out on it but I never pay attention to shit like that
(this was solo queue by the way)

Hahahahaha this game. Dominated ashe and sona in lane, then kept coming late to teamfights and getting quadra kills.

Speaking of Thresh, for those of you who know Touhou, doesn't he seem a bit like Komachi? His weapon is scythe-like, he collects souls of the dead, and all of his normal skills involve position changing. And we know that someone at Riot knows about Komachi because apparently there was planned to be a champion named Komachi who uses a scythe.
Also apparently the champion Komachi was meant to have an ultimate which was an event horizon-style cage, which is kind of what Thresh has.
Hmm...

Hahaha I thought I was okay at Zed, I was p. wrong
AD assassins are just a group I'm not good at, man. I'm not used to having a glass-cannon all-in kinda strategy, I tend to kite more when I'm that squishy, which doesn't work at all as an assassin.

My goal in this game is just to get high enough to play games with the pros.
