Play passively. Don't dive in for kills unless you are 100% sure you will get it.

For instance, as Karthus mid, I NEVER EVER EVER go past river anymore UNLESS I have backup. Karthus has horrible escape, and if I went to push the tower, I would easily get killed if ganked. Therefore, I never go past river.

should I ward often?

if you're playing support you are obligated by law to have at least one ward in your inventory at all times. If you're playing mid, if yo can afford it, buy one, unless your jungler is running around with a sightstone and wards or something.

Sometimes I buy two as mid, one for each bush, but more often I just get one and stay back until the jungler tries something once or twice in the other lanes, then I can predict where the most danger will come from.

Depends on how well I'm farming and stuff too.

So after who knows how long of hearing lots of people randomly start talking about League in random places and never understanding a word of it, I finally decided to give it a try just before Christmas. It turned out interesting and mostly enjoyable. Still a level 20 noob with nowhere near enough champs to even think about draft matches.

Lux tends to be my main choice either as AP or support as the (in)ability of my team to form decent composition requires, Ashe is the only ADC I have so far. Been recently toying around with Blitzcrank during his freebie since apparently Lux's skillshots are decent practice for his grab. Played my first normal game with him today; died 11 times but a fair number of those turned into 4/1 or 5/1 exchanges due to my team's ability to follow up on my initiation and the other team's ability to focus me before anything else. Result was win for us even with Zyra giving the enemy Ziggs an early feeding, pretty pop flyin' about how it went.

A few horror stories about bad teammates; like the time our Jax and Shen sat around in the brush at top doing bodaciously nothing while the three of us got steamrolled in a teamfight outside our mid inner turret, or the Blitzcranks who decided it'd be a good idea to pull pursuing enemies into the middle of his escaping team.

Been pretty fun so far.

would masamune be a good purchase on blitz? I don't play blitz, I'm just wondering hypothetically.
