Re: League of Legends
Talking about TF, seeing the new icon from the splash art reminded me that TF got a graphics update, so I decided to have a look.

Re: League of Legends
If they're going to charge RP for the things they should be permanent, or at least have a more expensive permanent versionEat_box wrote:EDIT: And here's how ward skins work.

Re: League of Legends
Yeah.
Yeaaah.
Yeaaaaah. I would much rather pay 975 RP or 6300 IP for it to be permanent.
"Hippalus commented about this.
"The goal here is not to have ghosts and bats popping up all over Summoner's Rift all year round. It is a Harrowing/Shadow Isles promotion to add a new element to the event and help us understand how players like and use ward skins."
He continued by saying:
"If players like the concept of ward skins, the longer term plan would likely be to have permanent ward skins year round plus lower cost rentals for the holidays. This is an experiment with a new type of content and it doesn't make sense to offer permanent non-holiday ward skins until we see if players use and enjoy it.""
Hmm.
EDIT: And summoner icons.

Re: League of Legends
omg too many new shiny things I can't handle
Okay, those TT items look really, really nice. I really hope some modified versions come out for SR.
Blackfire Torch in particular looks so nice. I never particularly liked the active on DFG, so the nerf doesn't bother me too much (I always built Veigar without it and had no problem bursting folks - problem, atheists?) but having a constant percent health option for spells would be fantastic. Dunno if that's really viable in 5v5 games, but I'd like to believe, darnit.
I also like the new Bilgewater Cutlass item, and the Wicked Hatchet.
On-hit effects are so much more fun than targeted actives, IMO

Re: League of Legends
Tried HoN. Seems like it'd be fun if everyone stopped focusing on their internet dicks for one second. I accidentally joined a ranked match without knowing it so it was extra ragey. The game lobby was called "5vs5 noobs" and was set to "casual" mode so I wasn't aware that it was ranked.
After looking at my statistics, I realize there are three types of game proletariats (and thus three types of ranking). One of them is "Public Stats Rating", which is controlled by public games that have stats enabled. Which I entered one with stats enabled without realizing. BUT NOW I KNOW TO STAY AWAY FROM STATS GAMES
Anywho, I like HoN for its champion diversity (and sheer number to choose from for free), but I like LoL for the fact that I know more about how it works and more people who play it and aren't dicks to newcomers.

oops, oh well
Re: League of Legends
I was actually thinking a spellvamp item for AD casters built from Brutalizer would be great. (Except I was expecting it to be made with a BF Sword.) I'm not disappointed.

Re: League of Legends
Calm down. People are gonna be buying RP for the halloween skins anyway. Riot is just giving those people something extra.
Also, Sona nerf in a nutshell.
