The more champs they remake/update, the higher chance that heimer will be the next one.
soon

Heimer has been on the block for a rework since 2011. It just, kinda hasn't happened yet.

Also Rengar is stupidly OP right now. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

They made Rengar even more op in the recent patch video, going on about how "He isn't strong enough, buff him!" Bull crap, can't do anything against a decent Rengar

It wasn't that he wasn't strong overall, but that they wanted to make him better at what made his character. With a "If his signature move isn't strong, then he's nothing." argument. Silly riot. :colbert:

I don't think the argument "Can't do anything against a decent XY" counts, because anyone who's good at a character can wreak havoc.
The changes Rengar got in the last patch were indeed strongly needed. Even though he only got one AP scaling ability, his W was too strong with 1.0 AP scaling, so that nerf put it right into scale with usual AP character abilities. However, Rengar passes the time until his abilities come off cooldown with auto-attacking and Rengar is a chaser. So that he is able to move now while using his W and that it doesn't stop him from auto-attacking anymore are very very important changes.
His ultimate strongly needed the speed boost too. Before this, I always had to compensate with runes or masteries or a lot of movement equipment, because he was way too slow to actually do his job.
However, I agree that the 20 extra damage on his Q were unnecessary, but not unwelcome. If they are going back on the old damage, I'm cool with that. But the mobility on his W and ult were needed, this is non-negotiable.

Do you want to know how to easily counter a Rengar? Put a ward next to baron or dragon, this is where people usually activate their ult so they can go in stealthed and won't be detected by wards. Put a vision ward in the middle of the lane. Stay close to turrets. Have your tank or a tanky champion buy an Oracle's. Don't run around by yourself, stay with others. Get Ninja Tabi, or just a Thornmail. Thornmail counters Rengar nearly as good as you going afk and ignoring him, he bodaciously kills himself with it. And most importantly, don't escape trough a bush. You have no idea how many people try to run away from me by using the bush. It just makes Rengar chase you even faster and more effectively.

I don't know about jungle, but top lane Rengar is OP. Max that W first, push all day and win every trade. 610 AoE burst damage whilst being able to move at level 9 is a scary, SCARY thing. Not to mention the heal you get off the empowered roar. A 15% heal every minute or so while you're in lane is kinda ridiculous.

Nidalee stacked archangels, Talon stacked bloodthirsters, LeBlanc stacked rabadon's, and Ashe stacked phantom dancers. What the FUCK

The thing about that match, your team was infinitely tankier than theirs, which is pretty much an instawin as long as the other team doesn't have twice your gold during teamfighting. You had two tanks and the other three members all had items that gave some degree of tankiness, while the only defensive stat the enemies had was the health on the triforces.

Generally, a tankier team wins out in teamfights.

Also, why is AP Ezreal popular all of a sudden?

They buffed the AP ratio on his W from .6 to .8.

Though, Hybrid Ezreal is a lot more effective than pure AP Ezreal, especially with his buffed W. It combines his good AP ratios with the ability to carry into late game like other ranged AD champs. (See also: his Q hurts a lot, so it's never something you're going to want to give up.) Also, he's one of the few champions that can use Rageblade effectively.

I like the concept of rageblade so much but there is so little application for it.

Unless you're AP, that's not really a good idea. And even then you need a lot of cooldown to actually effectively use your W, the lowest CD it can get is 7 seconds.
Rengar can get easily countered in top lane, like with so many things just get enough wards, and everything with consistent enough poke, CC or sustain can easily outlane him. Apart from his ult and slow he has no escape abilities, and they have a long cooldown. Even though his W makes him tankier, it's only 3 seconds with a roughly 11 or 12 second CD, attack him after he used it and the buff ran out. Rengar is very, very, very squishy. Just last hit minions, and harass him between it. He's sort of like Nasus, if you deny him farming, he gets pretty useless and has a very hard time keeping up, because he's also very item dependent.

I have to confess though that I was playing top lane when I still wasn't too great with him, and when I occassionally do so today, I know that I'm not nearly aggressive enough. But honestly, place a ward in the bush and hug the wall, so he can't jump on you too easily, and more importantly that he needs longer to get into the bush again, because when you are Rengar you want to abuse the hell out of them.
