Don't you love those "My team is so bad" assholes? Especially when they spent more time calling names than actually playing the game.
Had one of these just now, and I told him to shut up, and, of course, he responded to me that I'm bad too, and added why I bought a skin. Man that made me laugh, because skins sure are only for good players! It was made even better by the fact that he did both worse on the scoreboard and kill/death/assist ratio than me, and also was playing Alistar with the free youtube skin.

You could make a "standard" team with the five newest champions.

First impressions of Rengar:
- My worries of him being too squishy came true
- Dat burst
- From my first tries, tanky bruiser works better on him than building him with burst (which actually makes me a bit sad - or I'm not good enough for this yet)
- Despite getting a lot of movement speed trough his build (Trinity Force, eventually Bonetooth Necklace) and ult, he's very slow
- As I thought, Youmuu's is a really good substitute for his exclusive item, you should use it when you're not too good with Rengar yet to reek in kills/assists (or when your game is going poop, simply sell it for a Youmuu's)
- Picking up the +4% CDR from the offensive mastery tree is not a bad idea, unless you know you're building Youmuus already

PAX Sona. I am screaming on the inside. I need this.
Keep practicing with bot games until you got a hang on stuff, you can also consult the wiki or use a strategy website like this one. The champions which cost 450 IP are really good for starters, and they will never 'fall out of player level'. You shouldn't hang onto bot games for too long though, because they seriously are only good for when you just start to learn the game, or when you want to try out a new champion to get a feeling for them (or for a fast and guaranteed First Win bonus). Starting with player lvl 15 you automatically get a timer for bot games, which means you can only play a certain amount of non-PvP games per day which gives you the EXP and IP rewards.
If you want to softly start on PvP games, you could use the new ARAM game type to get a feeling. Simply go to Play -> Custom -> Join Game and put 'ARAM' in the search tab. A lot of people only want lvl 30 players though (which I can't really understand but alright), so alternatively you can Create Game and make an ARAM yourself (The Proving Grounds -> Game Type: All Random -> and name your game ARAM, adding 'All levels welcome' or 'Everyone welcome'). ARAM gives you a random champion to play with, and you have to stick with them. If another player got a champ you want/prefer, you can trade with them.
Also, that Sona skin. I don't like playing her but goddamn she gets all the good skins. The winter skin from last christmas, Guqin, and now THIS. If I could get it, I'd so play her all the time, I mean seriously just look at this beautiful thing aaaah
