No distance closer, no ranged harass, no standard escape manouvers

Single target, besides if you're being chased by someone like Kassadin or Ahri, or anyone with a quick dash (Fiora) they'll make time up.
Nasus isn't hard to lock down either.

Re: League of Legends
You're all forgetting the most important part about Nasus, which is that he's one of the worst top lanes in the game, except when paired against Yorick (who is ironically one of the best). Sure, his Q gets 3 more damage every time he farms with it. Why are you letting him farm when almost every single champion who should be laning against him can absolutely destroy him? Top lane is not a very nice place. If you aren't being aggressive there, you daisies well better be out-farming your opponent by a huge margin. And if he's letting you do that, he shouldn't be playing solo top.
Nasus has precisely one threatening damage ability, a potent soft CC, and an ultimate that amounts to one Summoner Heal and a loaned Sunfire Cape. His built in sustain is still reliant upon hitting your minions, and your single-minded goal should always be to delay that for as long as you possibly can anyways, punishing him for it whenever you can't.
I can sympathize if your problem is with random teammates letting Nasus get out of control, but you should be more afraid of your own team than Nasus if that's the case.

Ganelon! There you are. What are some good runes for nocturne and jungling in general?

Re: League of Legends
If I may, I jungled Nocturne fairly frequently on my NA account.
I used attack speed reds and armor pen quints. Armor yellows are basically a must on any jungler. I went with scaling Magic Resist blues, or if I was feeling especially brave, flat attack speed blues. My rune page was usually 21/9/0 or sometimes 9/21/0 if I was the only bulky individual. Start with either a Vampiric Scepter or Boots for early ganks.
Ultimately I end up with 21% attack speed, 10 armor pen, 13 armor and 24 magic resist at level 18 on him.
Also remember; with Nocturne, you are most suited as a bruiser, not an AD carry. Sticking with the Atmaug's/Malletmaug's build will see you better through a game than building flat damage. Wriggles and Brutaliser (either Mercs or Berserkers) sees you through in terms of damage until your Warmaug's is finished.

Holy shit, I hate this fanbase, "WAHHH, they only give us a 34% ip boost for the whole weekend instead of 1000% and a free BJ WAAAAAHH"
Like, for serious?

Re: League of Legends
Nancy pretty much has it covered. Nocturne's starting runes are a bit unique (I'm fairly certain that another very common setup is attack damage quints and armor pen/attack speed reds), but only because of the extreme utility of his passive. It's what lets you sustain well at level 1 with a Vampiric Scepter given how it's basically a free AoE auto attack every few seconds with built in lifesteal.Eat_box wrote:Ganelon! There you are. The only other thing I have to say about Nocturne is to remember that if you're dedicated to using your ultimate as you gank, it's impossible to be caught by wards so long as you actually think about it. You can gank just as effectively coming from your side of the lane itself as you would be able to from the jungle, and the spots in between your tower are never going to be warded except by crazy people. As for jungling in general, you've gotta be watching your team's lanes very often. If one of them is pushed to your tower, it's ripe for a gank. If it's pushed to the enemy tower and both enemy champions are there with reasonably high health, it's ripe for an enemy gank and you might want to consider warning that lane, and then going there to catch the enemy jungler or waiting for him to show up in that lane so you can steal from his jungle while he's gone. The enemy jungler is an unknown element, but you can ward the dragon, jungle exits, and his buffs to get a pretty good impression of where he is, and it lets your team know definitively that they can or cannot afford to play aggressively when they know stuff like that. Finding and killing the enemy jungler also works to this end, of course, but you need a good understanding of which champions can win in 1v1 situations to pull that off. My preferred method is to ward their red buff, steal it with smite, and then kill them with it.
Long story short, don't just farm. If you can't help people when they need it, defend towers when they have to go back, and other stuff like that, you're simply not a good jungler. It might not be your fault that a lane is losing in the first place, but you're still responsible for helping that lane, and people will be justified in calling you out on it if you never show up to handle some of that pressure for them.

Re: League of Legends
I can never mid as Karthus against Fizz. He can just flip out at me and escape without me doing any damage to him. Similarly, he can towerdive me, kill me, and fling into the forest out of range of the turret.
So the whole time, I am so scared, I can barely farm.
Tips?

Re: League of Legends
Got to try Draven on the PBE, he is probably the most fun ad carry ever.
Re: League of Legends
As a AD carry main, i think Draven is one of the most well designed, well thought out ranged ADs to date. All of his spells feel very fluid, he is very, very fun in general, his ult is fucking AMAZING. both in visuals and usability. And don't even get me started on quotes. ALL of them make you love draven. His character is generally funny, and very fun to be playing as. Especially his recall animation. DRAVEN, OUT.

I haaaaaaaate farming with Anivia during laning. Everything has a high mana cost and her autoattack seems so much slower than many other AP carrys.Tatzel wrote:I like Anivia, but everything on her is just soooooooooooooooo sloooooooooooooooooooooooooow
