Was a neat surprise to have the new Galio splash art in the log in screen - the music sounds pretty good too

Okay wait, did they change something in the graphic departement with today's patch? Something definitely looks different to me, and it's really hella ugly. I tried to find something on the forums but there was nothing mentioning this.

Do you mean the FIRST BLOOD and Multi-Kill text? And the new color coated text for True, AD and AP damage? That was in the HOERS patch.

The all-caps text is incredibly obnoxious. I don't care if they change the font, but all-caps?

Is there a way to change it back at all?

I don't mind the other additions though, seeing your health and mana regen has been pretty nice

I wish they would just release Varus and go

okay

time for a new map

time for that graphics update

time to update all the old champs' animations

and just work on the fucking physical mechanics of the game for once.

Soraka is getting a model and animation update. Other older champs will probably follow suit. And I don't think they would revamp the graphics overall. One of the pros to League over other DotA games is that almost any machine can run it reasonably well. As for a new map, it's probably in the works.

If you wanna see what's going on with league, I suggest you follow some of their employees on twitter. I forgot who said it, probably Guinsoo, but there are gonna be some new "caster options" in the new patch. New caster items eeeeee.

That's not an excuse that's a lie. Just because you update League to be high performance on high performance computers doesn't in any way affect the quality of the current game. How would leaving the current graphics and then adding options to make it even better harm those who need to play the game on a 10x12 inch screen at lowest possible settings?

It's... not? A lot of lower specced PCs can run League. Also, I said a graphics update overall. Not an option for higher resolution textures, which is the only thing they could without redoing all of the maps and models.

I'm talking about a graphics overhaul, animations and bitmaps. You can keep animations, but lower specced computers could still run League if you had complex animations as long as your graphics setting is low. Simple High Res Textures would be a lazy cop out a la Skyrim

new item on the PBE

seems tailored more to champs with sustained ults or spells, such as Swain, Anivia, Maokai, and that's it. Also champs with high mana costs.
