I dunnoooo. I like champs that I have to actively use abilities for, and most AD carries aren't like that, Caitlyn being the worst offender imo. Yeah, her traps are nice and her ult is good for catching the one guy who thinks he can flash away from a fight, but besides that, she's not my cup of tea. Maybe I need to give Ezreal or Corki another shot.

Caitlyn is the only AD carry without a single ability that improves her auto attacks in any meaningful way. The closest she has is her passive, but compare that to:

- Twitch: AS steroid on his stealth, AD and AoE functionality on his ultimate
- Tristana: AS steroid with no additional effects as a stand-alone ability
- Vayne: On-hit true damage passive and AD steroid on her ultimate
- Graves: Gap closer/escape paired with an AS steroid
- Miss Fortune: AS steroid, healing reduction, and scaling on-hit magic damage in one ability
- Kog'Maw: On-hit %health damage and auto attack range ability, passive AS steroid with an active component
- Ashe: On-hit 40% slow ability
- Urgot: On-hit 40% slow with a shield, 15% outgoing damage reduction debuff (Urgot doesn't even use his auto attacks and yet he still qualifies)
- Sivir: Massive AoE AS steroid ultimate
- Ezreal: Stacking AS steroid up to 50% from his passive. Abilities that function almost exactly like auto attacks.

That leaves Corki and Caitlyn as the only ranged carries without significant improvements available to their auto attacks one way or the other. They have to make up for this by using their active abilities since there would otherwise be no point to playing them. AD Annie would do their job just as well if they only used auto attacks. In fact, AD Kennen is actually considered a valid replacement for Caitlyn because he has huge AoE stuns and he hardly does any less damage from just auto-attacking. The only reason he hasn't completely stolen her role is because his early game and attack range are both slightly worse.

Edit: The reason Caitlyn probably seems so boring to you is because her skills are only situationally useful. The traps and net aren't helpful at all while chasing or even in a standing fight and the ultimate won't hit its intended target if you just use it whenever you feel like it. Piltover Peacemaker has scaling so bad that it eventually becomes weaker than an auto-attacks, so eventually, you just sit there waiting to use your skills as a reaction to something that might happen. This is really just a design flaw with the champion, because I guarantee you that almost anyone else on that list uses abilities more often than her.

Idk, people talk about Leona being terrible, but every single one I've laned with has helped me win my lane. I know that it's a matter of who I was playing and who I was paired up against as well, but she can be pretty beastly.
