Thats assuming the entire Dragon Soul raid was in any way felt threatening or epic or any good word.

Remember the days of this?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mu2aIjPB ... re=related

I found this a few days ago, and every time, tears man. I cry every time. Those few moments when I downed the Lich King for the first time..... this song really reminds me that of the heartache, rage and grinding pain playing World of Warcraft, and how, fighting this dude, it was worth every single moment of it for that lifechanging moment of epic. *sniff*
WHERE IS THIS MERLIN I KEEP HEARING OF

What harm could come from imprisoning a hellinternet beast every night and making it hate humanity and what it stands for?
Then we can release it back into the wild.

Remember the days of...what? That was last expansion. The expansion everyone bitched and whined about.

Funny how with each successive one though the previous becomes the Golden Age for people.

Well, corny as the Lich King was, he was at least more believable than whatver the hell Deathwing did at the end.

And no Madican, the golden age will always be Burning Crusade. I played those instances before and man, it makes me sad i missed that expansion. I could have had some really good times.

Burning Crusade was definitely a grand time in WoW. Unless you had a 60% speed flying mount.

My favorite dungeon/raid is still ToC.

Remember pre-ICC? Back when the hardest 5man was heroic ToC?
Good old days...

I'm a Wrath-baby (and a late game one at that) so I don't know about these "good old days". My fondest memory is getting my TLPD after 2 weeks of straight camping, while waiting to Cata to come out.

World of Snorecraft at least until the Pandaren are added.

Post by Vrominelli »

I guess I'm a wrath baby too. (joined right about when homestuck first started up, actually)
But why do I feel SO FRIKKEN BORED WITH WOW NOWADAYS?

Blizz just give me the Pandaren already I've been screaming for them since I first joined!

i started at the beginning of wrath, my fond memories include raiding naxx well into t8

then switching realms and making most of my older guild hate me when i came back and wanted to raid with them again

That's the point, there are no "good ol' days" because every expansion had something that improved on the previous. Classic WoW was a horrid, boring grindfest with a few epic moments (summoning Ragnaros for the first time), Burning Crusade lessened the grind and had a more structured raiding system and plotline, Lich King brought about the Dungeon Finder (one of the greatest things in WoW) and the option between hard mode or regular raids, Cataclysm furthered the Dungeon Finder and improved on it with Raid Finder.

I started when MC was the only raid and I only quit because five years of one game burnt me out on it. I got my fill and moved on.

Wrath Loremaster here so I'd know.

Also BC's quests were not as horrid as vanilla's, Wrath simplified and streamlined quests and gave better gear (also started phasing as a major thing), and Cata completely blew all the other expansions out of the water with their quests. (what with even more phasing and remote turn ins and such)

I'm a Beta Vet, and I have to say that Wrath was probably my most favorite expansion because Vikings. I liked BC for its time, but I always dread hitting level 58 because for some reason I just haaaaate Hellfire Peninsula. The rest of the zones are p. cool but Goddamn Hellfire Peninsula. Cata was the least favorite of the three but it still has its charm. I dunno what to make of Mists yet but I can say the new talent system looks delicious.
