It's less "flipping out over pandas" and more "Why did Blizzard choose the April Fools joke for the new race?"

Have you been selectively paying attention to things being posted in the thread, Madican? Me thinks so.

So, anyone here on Winterhoof?

Have you been making straw man arguments and ignoring all the valid reasons not everyone absolutely loves the new expansion? Me thinks so.

Oh, I do understand that some people don't like the new expansion. But yes, that isn't what's important. You have your own opinion and you are voicing it. I have my opinion and I'm voicing it. What I saw in your previous post was what looked like ignorance, it bothered me and I called you out on it. But I'm done doing that and done talking about whether or not the expansion will be good since I am content with waiting and seeing how it will do (and to make a troll monk to go against the mold. I'll probably make a Pandaren Priest since I need to make a new one)

Because they could use them as a trigger for a new continent with a new art direction?

Because Blizzard needed a pre-established race that could as neutral and have land for the Alliance and Horde to fight over?

Because they have less press established lore than other races, Blizzard can build the pandaren from the ground up?

Because its a change from what we're used to? Oh wait, no, thats wrong, sorry. We already have two animal based races. Yet somehow bears are worse than cows and dogs.

I dislike the idea though that a race can be both sides.... what kind of racial division would that give to the game?
In my own honest opinion, Id have loved to have looked at Argus and maybe had an upgraded Outlands continent. Fightin Sargeas, Azshara, possibly restoring the sanctity of the Sunwell. Having two new races, the Arrokoa (Skettis) and the Naga. Imagine how cool thatd been. Oh well.

Yes, you've said that would would like to go back to Outland. Multiple times, thank you.

And uh, the Sunwell was restored back in BC by Velen, leader of the Draenei.

Besides, the reason that Pandaren are coming is because Blizzard is deciding to do away with the Silhouette theory, which is why transmogrification is happening at all.

Silhouette? is that where everyone does guesswork on the history and once in awhile a Blue will give us a tantalizing hint about it that folks agonize over months? Enlighten me.

The Silhouette theory was created by Blizzard for World of Warcraft. It states that both a player from the opposing faction should be instantly recognizable from their race, as well as their approximate skill and progression should be instantly recognizable from what their gear looks like.

Simply put, its being able to tell a tauren apart from a gnome, as well as being able to see how good that tauren is from the gear type he's wearing.

With transmogrification, the most important part of silhouette theory, their gear and skill level as a byproduct, because of how it applies to PvP, is gone. With it being gone, we have a chance to try something new with the Pandaren being able to choose which faction they want to join.

Who knows, with it gone, we may get Alliance high elves soon. I certainly hope so.

I don't understand why people complaining over the thing about the Pandaren are a "joke" race.

I've heard from a few people that the Gnomes were a "joke" race too. Is this true?

The whole game is a joke now.

Careful not to cut yourselves on my wit.

Because he doesn't like it, obviously.

Has anyone seen the Guardian Cub up on their AH yet? I'm curious to see how much it goes for.
