I would say I really hope Alliance doesn't get completely shafted in the storyline like they did in Cataclysm, but that seems like a foregone conclusion now.
Chris Metzen said at Blizzcon that the next person to get a major story arc is Varian, so Alliance should be getting some better writing soon.

Now that might be an interesting idea...

He had several major story arcs in a comic. They just kept it out of the game. Same with Magni Bronzebeard. Same with Mechatorque. Same with Malfurion.

There's a history of Alliance having stories, but they don't show up in the game. Also Metzen is an absolute hack. He wrote Ronin remember.

That's interesting, buying 6 months through BNet is only 5 euros more than the cheap site I usually buy my gametime from. Is it required to at any point use a credit card to buy gametime to be eligible for the free Diablo 3 copy? The site speaks of having to maintain a recurring subscription but also mentions that any viable gametime counts so I'm a bit confused here...

Yeah, you have to have a credit card attached to your account to be eligible, can't even use paypal.

Not exactly my question, I have my electron linked to my account but I don't use it to pay.
Oh well, I asked support the same question so hopefully they'll give a definitive answer.

Are you buying wow timecards? Because those count for game time for the 12 month agreement. However, you still have to have a credit card on the account even if it won't ever actually be used to pay for your subscription.

Do I have to have a recurring subscription for the entire 12 months?
Yes, a valid recurring subscription must be maintained during the 12-month commitment.

Can I use game cards with this promotion?
Any qualifying game time added to the account may apply to the 12-month subscription requirement.
Hi Timo,

Thank you for your support ticket to Blizzard Europe customer support regarding the annual pass.

Basically if you keep your subsciption active for 12 months with the payment methods available, should it be with a credit card or game card, or both if you switch you should be qualify for the promotion.

Looking at your main World of Warcraft account I can see that your account is eligible for this service.
Waiting for an answer for my second question, not gonna buy gametime from the site before it. Basically, I'm still lacking an option to sign up for the pass, it just takes me to the payment page

Oh, I had that happen too, it's confusing. For me, I used to use paypal. It said I needed to change payment method and then gave me the page where you choose 1 month, 3 month, or 6 month and enter a credit card. Once you fill that out, it will take you to a page that has a contract where you check a couple of checkboxes and submit for the 12 month subscription. If you buy game time from another site and it gives you a way to enter codes into your battle.net account, just set it to 1 month subscription and make sure you don't run out of pre-paid time before the 12 months are up. After the year is up you can just cancel the automatic subscription request without the card ever being run.

Yeah, figured it would go like that but wasn't sure. Thanks.

Edit: and it worked

........ I.... just saw the preview trailer.....

I am ... dumbfounded on how incredibly sad it is to see something like the Lich King, or even Deathwing replaced by something this.... dumb. Doesnt Kung Fu Panda have this down? Cant we have something else? Like maybe an expansion with the Arrokoa? Updated Outlands? Skettis magic? Fighting Sargeas? Any of these sounds like a much better scenario than fighting through these.... stylized, but not impressive at all areas theyre showing us.

I sure hope they have some final gambit theyre gonna implement, because Id really hate to not come back if they dont have one. Im sorry Im complaining, but I cant see what the hell Blizz is thinking, placing a character that has no signifigance to the games lore, except the pet.

Seriously hoping theyre not going for broke. 8===D
