I've played since 2005 and I can safely say that servers are filled to the brim with stupid people lately

maybe i got lucky on cho'gall, but most horde are pretty decent. ppl were pugging rag kills before about 60% of the guilds were able to down'em

then again most of cho'gall are elitist pricks as well so trade stupid ppl for assholes

Cho'gall are a bunch of elitist pricks because, since the population of H:A is something like 50:1 a ton of people transferred to it so they could stomp the meager Alliance/hold Wintergrasp forever/PvE. With the flood came stupid and lo, there was Gearscore to save the good Horde from the bads.

Played Alliance on Cho'gall for a little bit. Was a lesson in masochism that's for sure.

its different now, in terms of alliance.

because you cant "swarm" anymore with the "you can only have so many players" horde loses alot on cho'gall, due to the allies being a pretty crack pvp team that always pvps, whereas horde just afks

and gearscore doesnt exist now, its item level

I was a casual when I played, so no I don't. Still managed to attain a decent Gearscore as said casual.

And yeah, Tol Barad has that mechanism. Saw the prototype on Wintergrasp and so much rage on Horde side. Leveling is still a nightmare as Ally though, even if it does force PvP skills into you.

Cataclysm launch was a nightmare. Couldn't take three steps without getting smashed.

I love PvP, so the launch was glorious.

Vashj'ir had so many corpses near the start of the zone, it was hilarious.

Not on Cho'gall Alliance.

You really have not seen the pure definition of "Horde" until you find a video detailing it. When I say H:A ratio of 50:1 I'm not joking. It was a sea of red because all the blue and green nameplates were dead forever. Rez timers of 10 minutes for everyone!

They have people who like PvP, but even they said that wasn't PvP. It was just slaughter. No amount of skill can save you from hundreds of Horde at once.

which is why they dominate now in pvp, because cho'gall horde can not bring its "horde" to bear.

when you have ppl who afk and just dont know how to pvp going up against ppl who pvp every fucking day you tend to have allies having tol barad

like all the time

It is the one small bit of joy Alliance have, and a bit of poetic justice considering what they were subjected to in order to get that level of PvP skill. They have problems getting enough people to run Baradin Hold though. And every other raid.

the thing is, you dont go to cho'gall alliance for raiding. you go if you want pure pvp. i see a decent amount of guilds raiding on cho'gall for allies, nothing like horde of course but they still raid.

almost everyone in stormwind however is wearing pvp gear

I didn't "go" anywhere. I had an Alliance toon on Cho'gall before most of the Alliance vanished. When I came back to it I joined <The Resistance> and got to relive a zombie horror movie where the Horde was zombies and I was just a little survivor for all of ten seconds outside a capitol city.

But realms have always been filled to the brim with stupid people. I remember playing years ago and feeling like I couldn't find a realm without stupid people being everywhere. I suppose it's all relative to perception. Stupid people arem ore visibly obvious because they're being stupid, don't know where to go, and hang around easy to get to places like Goldshire and Stormwind. Fun, awesome, smart people are probably busy doing epic higher level quests, hanging out with people somewhere awesome and difficult to find, raiding, not being visibly stupid, etc, and therefore difficult to track unless you're actually friends with them.

To me it feels like that has always been the case. Like the whole "loud minority, silent majority" thing. The way I see it, for people who enjoy all this new stuff and look forward to it, awesome, I am too. Haters are going to hate, and they always have existed and hated and they always will, so we just need to disregard them and continue to be excited about this new awesome content with other people sharing mutual feelings.
