I recently started playing with some IRL broskis. We're on Ravenholdt, which is RPPvP (our guild leader hates the names people come up with on non-RP servers). It's been fun! My main is Torizo, level 61 Tauren Feral (Cat) Druid (awwwright!). I dualspec'd resto for raiding purposes, but uh, Tree of Life got nerfed big time but oh well. Should still be decent, though.
I've also got a Belf Warlock named Crateria (demonology for now, I'll figure something else out later - if any of you guys have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them!) and a Belf Mage named Nettori. I'm going Frost for my main build and probably Fire for my dualspec.
Also I am absolutely terribad at PvP. Although I figure keeping track humanoids on should help. If anyone comes by I just prowl, but I'm too afraid to do anything else. The only time I really do it is if someone else asks for help with a camper.
I don't know if they'll do it again (or if it's still going on) but a couple weeks ago they had a deal where you could buy the game and all the expansions (minus Cata) for $20. That's how I got it.
You can buy the expansions one at a time, and you could during the sale if I recall. I'm pretty sure the sale is over, but you could always wait and see if they do something for Christmas.
I'm 90% certain it's only the core game that gives you a free month.
