Alliance tears power the Horde war machine.
Cry for me, Leoj. Cry for me.

You know that the Alliance received one less new class/race combo than the Horde did?
ima go on a limb and say, i really couldnt care less. i didnt like them adding dwarven shamans cause it makes no goddamn sense what so ever but for the sake of balance they had to.
Leoj wrote:Also not much has changed for the Alliance questing zones. Most of the zones have the same old quests. Goldshire for example. You go from the new starting zone quests for the humans to Goldshire and bam you are killing Princess and helping that couple elope. Its like it was stuck in a time warp and no one there realized the Cataclysm happened. Same thing with the Forest Song area in Ashenvale. The Horde is now on their doorstep and they are all still building their houses or whatever and nothing has changed with them.
have you been to the hinterlands on the horde side? they removed quests and readded them as the exact same ones, the same applies to some of the barrens as well. some shit wasnt changed much, some was, they already said some zones were going to be minimally changed
Leoj wrote:I don't know if you have seen Tirisfal Glades or Silverpine forest lately but they are completely redone and its amazing. So is Azshara. The horde got a lot more effort put into their quests and remakes than the Alliance did.
yes i have but you have horatio over in west fall, i think thats pretty fucking cool/hilarious imo
Leoj wrote:Not to mention the Worgen just have that tree in Darn while the Goblins have the slums AND Bilgewater Harbor which is awesome.
soooo worgen have a nice tree, whereas goblins live in flith and rummage whilst also having a harbor, i dont see your point. having a a nice diamond compared to someone who has a piece of shit and a diamond isnt saying much.
Except that the Alliance loses its battles in Westfall, in Southern Barrens, in Western Plaguelands. Its just all negativity coming out of the Alliance quests on top of the fact that we lost land. Morale for the Alliance is at an all time low and I don't mean in game, I mean actual players are upset. The goblins got a whole zone remade for them, Azshara. What did Worgen get? Nothing. They get shipped off to Darnassus with little to no explanation at the end of their quest line and people are saying the Goblin starting quests are more fun and much better than the Worgen (although the Worgen is still pretty good). People also say that playing as horde you feel apart of the horde while leveling and its nice, whereas for the alliance you dont feel a sense of working in the alliance and stuff as you do for the horde there isnt as much camaraderie.

Maybe that's the point.
The Alliance has been on the winning side for most of Warcraft history. Maybe they wanted to have the Horde be the ones clearly ahead for once, since they are usually the underdogs.

So now they are the underdogs and also the unstoppable war machine? I don't mind if the Alliance is losing the war, although it does suck to be in the middle of a quest and be destroying it and winning and then go turn it in and its like OMG RETREAT!
The main thing is the quality of time put in the Horde revamp compared to that of the Alliance. Added on top of the fact that we get 1 less race/class combo than they do AND that they get some awesome new mounts while Worgen get nothing.
TLDR: Alliance gets stuff for upstanding members of society and twihards that got thrown in with very little lore to back them up and Horde get a race that is backed up by tons of lore and has awesome racials and stuff.

Having leveled a human hunter a little bit, I can say that they did indeed change stuff around, SW is freaking amazing, ignoring the crater that was once the park, the new lake area is a much better park than it ever was anyway.
I could go on but I'm not really in the mood to argue.

Hey Leoj. If it makes you feel any better, Orgrimmar is confusing as fuck now.

all i can say is, i dont feel like part of the horde when i go kill 6 plainstriders in mulgore. i feel like a cow thats killing birds, nothing has "immersed" me into the gameplay yet.
having fun with quests yes, "thinking" im part of something bigger, not by a long shot.
and tbh, i always felt more immersed with the ally quests, lvling my human warrior was a ton more fun than anything i had done on my horde side, and it still feels the same with my dwarf hunter in cata.
and org isnt confusing, you just gotta stick to one section lol

For a more thought out response than I am enjoying your tears (which I still am):
Horde have been the underdog for a long, long time. We've been shafted, fucked up, and on the losing side for a while. And that's been okay. It was just how the Horde was, and we had to fight extra hard for what we wanted. Every city was either ruins or a series of huts. The alliance had more and arguably better race/class combos then us (almost every race can be paladins); they had actually cities and besides Elekks I like most of their mounts better.
But now Blizz isn't trying to play us as underdog. We're on top now; we are the Horde War Machine. So now Alliance are the underdogs and you guys are QQing about it like it's the worst thing ever. This is just the beginning of Cataclysm. Inevitably, Garrosh will fuck things up hardcore, the Hordew will probably crash and burn, etc etc.
And most of the second quest areas (like, the little towns or w/e) are the. Mulgore's is, Durotar's is, Goldshire's is, etc etc.
TL;DR: alliance is underdog now, deal with it.

I have no problem with that. What I do have a problem with is the quality of work gone into the Horde compared to the Alliance.

If your major concern is the quality of work, why do you keep bringing up the one less class combination and lack of worgen mounts?
