Ive been in a good guild whos used me as a tank so I never experienced a raiding problem, it was most prevalent in random heroics and pugs as most of the tanks already were in established guilds and did not want to do stuff outside of them. If anything we had a healer shortage, only had 1 holy pally, 2-3 druids and 2-3 priests for the longest time, no shammies.

Yup. Sounds about right. I was in a good guild 3 times throughout BC and WotLK. But they got cannibalized before long (seriously, I don't think there's ever been a guild on my server that lasted a year).
There was always a healer shortage in raiding. Never a tanking shortage though. But in a way, the real shortage was in skilled DPSers.
If you check what guilds are recruiting... Like, below 40,000 guilds tend to be looking for tanks (cause most tanks won't have anything to do with guilds that spends all night wiping on Anub'Rekhan). Guilds below 6,000, tend to have solid tanks, and are generally short a few healers, and generally clear most non-hardmode content with some difficulty.
Guilds above about 6,000 tend to be looking for DPSers, because they have a solid tanking/healing core. So you'll see like guild recruitment listing a long list of DPSers. That's in part because those guilds are working on hard mode, and since they have a solid core, they have the flexibility to boot bad players, and cleaning up their group by adding better DPSers one by one.
If you're a good DPSer who doesn't stand in fire, finding a serious raiding guild is surprisingly easy. Your only real challenge is picking which guild raids at the time and day you want.
EDIT: Rough guild rankings of course. There's always that nice little blurred line of a few thousand ranks where the three categories overlap somewhat.

Derp derp. My bad.
LGBT
Sorry. For some reason I tend to shuffle the letters in my head a lot. I don't know why the ordering GBLT is so stuck in my head. It just seems to roll off the tongue better that way.
TL;DR Version: Proudmoore majority population is non-heterosexual.

lol. Yeah. I figure server count is probably not entirely accurate. But I think between Horde and Alliance side, if my statistics are right, they fall as having more than 10k homo-type-folks
From what I understand, it's lesbian population isn't that high. Not really any higher than the female population on any server (about 10%). But hey, it's still pretty nifty either way.
I figure part of the reason I think it might be neat, is cause the best two guilds I was ever in were <Horde's Angels> and <Our Crits are Real>. If you can't guess by the names, they were women's guilds. They were amazing, but they both eventually disbanded as people split up over time.
While a homosexual server isn't quite the same thing as a women's guild, I figure there's probably a fair bit of the similar appeal. Because in general it seems that
Proudmoore is friendly, and more open minded than your average guild or server.
Sadly I'm not aware of any long-time established women's guilds or high female population servers. I figure this is the next best thing.

There are on VeCo too. Partially due to the existence of <Our Crits are Real> a few years ago. Most of them are still playing, albeit scattered between different guilds now.
But it's still in that nice low 10% range. Oh well, it's better than some servers. At least on VeCo ya didn't hear most of the worst sexiest jokes very often like on the first server I joined. Oh god *shudders* My first server was the WORST. It nearly turned me off to MMOs forever. It was only because of transferring to another server and joining <Horde's Angels> that made me change my mind.

lol. Gawd it's not even wanting to hook up with other lesbians. I'm quite pop flyin' with Jamie kaytnx.
It's more like enjoy spending time with people of similar cultures/backgrounds whatever. Yeah okay, so homosexuality or gender isn't really a culture/background in the traditional sense. And really I'm all for diversity; one of my best friends in WoW lives in Singapore. Not only lives there, she was born there.
But either way, it's nice when the other people around you "get you" so to speak.

70% of the women on cho'gall are hardcore
like hardcore to the point where they ninja shit in raids and will call you late at night if you dont show up for a raid and you actually have a legit excuse
on the positive side my warlock is possibly getting into GuildNamePendingApproval, one of the better guilds on the server. 10/12 heroic 10 man and 11/12 on 25 man with certain heroic fights down

Most girls I've played with play due to bfs/husbands.
One of my first guilds, the guild leader was arrested and sent to jail for 5 years for CP, I recently saw him online on an alt so I guess he is out lol.
