This is probably my favorite WoW related post I've read anywhere in quite a while. Thought I'd link it for the lulz.

Last week we attempted Undying (the 10-man version)... we killed Heigan before the dance could even start, killed Gluth before the first decimate, and then got to Thaddius.

I'd be pop flyin' if I could tell you we lost the title because someone failed at charges. But no. we lost the title because both tanks (both reputable, well-known, ICC25 geared tanks) FAILED THE JUMP.

By the time they ran back around and successfully jumped onto the platform Thaddius was up and mobile and had facepwned 7 of the 10 of us.

Would have wept. Naxx is still one of my favourite instances. The dance slew so many members of my guild... Some people NEVER survived.

I'm a little surprised that people are capable of outputting enough DPS to kill Heigan before he starts the dance. I mean, I suppose it shouldn't surprise me. I've seen a lot of Heroic bosses go down in like, 5-10 seconds with well geared DPSers. And Naxx was barely above heroics.

My favorite Naxx was any run where everyone except me and a healer died, and we spend 20 minutes killing Heigan by ourselves without getting hit once.

And yes, I have screenshots, with Recount, indicating both the battle duration and the fact that I wasn't hit once by Eruption.

The sad part is, this happens almost every week.

My favorite part was how my healer always liked to stop and teabag people who died between eruptions.

One of my favourites too. Got Safety Dance by luck in a semi-pug not long after WotLK came out (Before 2009 anyway). Never was I in a group that got it again...

EDIT: Lulz! Just read a comment saying that the real Safety Dance is a good timing emchanic for this fight! I'll have to try that sometime! =D

So, I just did that quest in the Storm Peaks where you use a hookshot. Holy shit is that fun, I wish they had more quests like that in the game.

Heigan was also my favorite boss, very often I was the only one left alive because no one got the dance right haha.

ANYWAYS

Was watching Tuxedo Mask play today, and his guild defeated the Lichking 10 man. It was veeeeeeery close, there were only 4 people left, one incapacitated by harvest souls or whatever the spell is called.
Drops were the crossbow, and the dps 2 hand mace.

Then again, I suppose it's still on my hotbar *shrug*

Press the assigned hotkey. (like for me, "m" for mounts, "p" for pets, or "q" for stances). A ring that looks something like this pops up

Then gesture your mouse in the direction of the skill you wanna use, and let it rip.

Warning: For the love of god, please do not try to put your combat rotation into oPie. Leave it for buffs, food/water, quest items, pets, mounts, outfits, etc.

I had them bound for soloing, it's not like I actually plan to use those to raid. ;o;
