Also enchanted chest. Moreover, once you obtain Arch-Mage rank, you gain the Arch-Mage's quarters in the Mages Tower. This includes personal altars of spellmaking and enchantment, as well as an Enchanted Chest which allows you to duplicate ingredients. (NOTE: The Enchanted Chest will ONLY duplicate "common" ingredients; consequently, Nirnroot, Human Heart, Painted Troll Fat, etc. are specifically ignored.) You also have the ability to have Mage Apprentices follow you.
Well, that clears up the Arcane University.
But wait! I can't stop now! What if the town-based guild halls start requesting things from me!?
No, the only way to truly guarantee that I will never have to truly be Arch-Mage is to "root out" each and every one of those guild halls.
First up: Anvil. Because why not Anvil.
Just before I start storming the place, this dork walks out.
I bet he's trying to escape.
It appears as though his escape attempt failed.
What a tragedy.
I discover that he has some alchemy supplies on him, as well as an enchanted robe.
I take them.
His death will not have been in vain.
A guard shows up. A guard clearly against the act of taking the possessions of a slain enemy so his death will be for more than nothing.
What a jerk.
More guards show up. They are also jerks who do not understand the purpose of looting a corpse, and how it is actually respectful to the person who was slain.
Or maybe they are just rustled that I keep punching their friends to death.
It's hard to tell sometimes.
Once every guard in Anvil is dead, I being to storm the Mage's Guild.
There will be no survivors, except for those that bodaciously cannot die.
Hey! You two! Ugly and the dumb one!
You are my first victims! Be glad you died with that honor!
...Wait, no, that was that guy outside... huh...
Well, I guess you died with no honor, then.
Sucks to be you.
There is a lot of fighting.
Apparently guards don't like it when people try to root out the Mage's Guild.
Soon, both the guard and some other guy are dead.
When I enter the city, I am greeted with the usual.
Once the usual has been taken care of, I head to the Mage's Guild.
What's this? A mage sleeping on the job?
By killing him, I both did my duty as Arch-Mage and as the crazy murderer I am.
Also, notice that I killed that guy so hard that it left bloody tire-track-like marks on the bed. I am getting good at this.
...Standing in a corner, staring at a wall? Leaving your back completely open?
You'd think these guys didn't know that there was an insane murderer out to get them or something.
Me? Get out of here?
I should say the same to you!
...Except I guess I can't now because your dead.
This woman is incapable of dying.
I beat her unconscious anyway. Just to make a point.
Well, that's everyone in the Skingrad Mage's Guild.
But only bodaciously. There's still one more person near Skingrad I need to kill.
Remember that one guy I saved from zombies? The one who lives in the cave?
Yeah I'm rooting him out too.
Once the usual welcome is taken care of, I enter the guild.
I don't even know why this one was essential.
This guy isn't, though.
Which is nice.
Kud-Ei is, though.
At least it makes sense for her, though.
I don't even know who this person is.
Which probably explains why she isn't essential.
Why are you doing alchemy... shirtless?
I kill her and her clothes magically appear on her corpse.
...Maybe she cast spells to make sure she didn't die looking improper or something?
Mages are confusing.
Hey, remember how when I wanted the recommendation from this guild, I had to get some girl's staff back? And this guy was supposed to have it, but he sold it, forcing me to travel all the way to the imperial city?
Yeah, this is my revenge.
Apparently this guy is a member of the Thieve's Guild.
Huh. Well, that's just one more guild I've been kicked out of.
Didn't I already kill you? In a dramatic underwater battle while I was running from the law after a bad assassination? Just before I entered the Shivering Isles and embarked on the adventure of a lifetime?
How the hell are you here?
And STAY down, this time!
Whelp, time to raid this guild.
Hey! You guys! Why are you talking?
You have far more important things to worry about!
Also, that guy was apparently important for some sort of quest. Like I care.
I think the lady was essential, though. bodaciously, I mean. As in, she got back up.
Anyway, I beat the crap out of everyone else in the building, but most of them are essential for some reason.
Well met indeed... heheheh
Everyone is all standing in one place so all are easily killed without that much fuss.
...You ever notice that Bruma seems to have the most guards?
I mean, really look at all these guys! And they all seemed to be waiting for me as soon as I walked in!
At least there aren't any clones this time.
As usual in Bruma brawls, an innocent civilian is somehow killed.
That seems to happen a lot here.
Well, I'd say that went really well.
Now for the guild...
The necromancers already took care of this place. Huh.
Well, Bruma down, I guess.
Well, this is the last guild. After that, almost every mage in Cyrodiil will have been slain.
Another one sleeping on the job.
*sigh*. When will they learn?
I think you should leave.
This can't can't be killed, but eh,
I'll beat him unconscious anyway.
Just after I do that, a guard comes in and lets me know that this shit will not be tolerated.
I then let him know that that shit will not be tolerated either.
And I do a much better job.
Well, that takes care of that. My plan to make sure I didn't have to be the Arch-Mage was a success.
...Okay, well, theoretically I guess I could have just walked away after they threw me out. But what would be the fun in that?
Speaking of that, I should probably get them to let me back in. I might want to enchant something or make a spell or something.
And yes I realize the hypocrisy in that.
ohhh yeahhhh. Well that completely ruins the kick in that comment of mine. Don't mind me, just a guy with a stupid brain over here.Zink wrote:Yeah, seriously, where have you been?Darkin wrote:He already did the fighters guild, remember?Kupti Tranamo wrote:Rooting out the Mage's Guild.
