Egh sorry, in a bit of a bad mood and people keep whining about this. I don't mind constructive discussion, but I've very rarely seen one about this.

The argument is "it's on the disc I bought, so I should have access to it". I don't think it's a stupid point of view but I don't see the harm in it.

The difference is pointless from an economic point of view, so they're never gonna stop doing it anyway, unless everyone decides not to buy games that do that anymore, but that would be kind of dumb.

To clarify, as long as you pay for what's advertised, there isn't a problem. You don't pay for the disc, you pay for the game.

Greedy? That's just capitalism bro, and there's no stopping it.

Not as much scared, more curious to how this situation will evolve.

As long as there a limits set by laws set by a legal system controlled by democracy, the situation can't get completely out of hand. As well as there being a point upon which customers will stop taking companies shit. The succes of more "indie" games and games set to bring as good a product as possible like Skyrim and Valve games also leaves me hopeful.

I don't like the idea of on-disc DLC. You bought the product, and yet they put the downloadable product on the disc rather than actual accessible content. There is a problem with it; If I pay for a product, I should be able to access that entire product's contents. Making me pay for a license to play what's already included on the product that I bought is underhanded. It's legal, yeah, but you're not going to get any repeat customers if you do it.

Did this really sound right in your head?

Do you really think this is going to make the general public stop buying mainstream games that do this?

I think I already made that analogy, but imagine you buy a car.
It has everything in it that you could need. But you have to pay extra so you're allowed to use the AC. It doesn't feel quite right.

I'm not pop flyin' about this either, but I guess by the time this fully rolls around, I'm still busy trying to catch up with older games I didn't buy so far, and the new games which aren't 'bad', then I'll have a life-long supply of games anyways (I think the unplayed games I own so far should easily last me a couple years - if I play them in reasonable amounts/time that is)

Started playing Dead Island/Left 4 Dead Rising on my PC again, for some reason it's running a lot more smoothly than I remember.
I still don't like how empty the game feels, it's mainly just me running around and stockpiling weapons than running into two or three walkers, repeat.
